The slytherin common room and dorms.
Jyn had never been here before. She had only been in her own house common room and girls dorms. Never had she made any trips to the other houses, let alone Slytherin. Not many people would randomly walk in that house’s common room. Well, you always had your exceptions of course. And it seemed Jyn was now one of those exceptions.
Tonight there was a Gryffindor VS. Slytherin quidditch game which meant that by now pretty much the entire castle was empty. Everyone knew a snake/lion game meant fouls, action and blood. It was the kind of entertainment you could only except to receive during such a quidditch game. Hence everyone going to the pitch to watch. Except for Jyn, who found herself to be taken to the boys Slytherin dorms by Ryan.
Till now she hadn’t come across anyone which meant that the common room and dorms would probably be empty as well. Which was good. Jyn always avoided Slytherins –except for Ryan- because she honestly was a bit afraid of them. God forbid she’d run into Nathan Spencer, he was scary. Ryan was different though which made her sometimes wonder if he had been placed in the right house. Unlike all the others, Ryan was pretty great.
During the last six weeks Jyn and Ryan had spend a lot of time together. At first it had been a little weird but it seemed to be going much better now. They’d been on a few ‘dates’, made homework together and just hung out. Jyn knew she was in love with Ryan and during the attack she pretty much told him that she loved him. They had never talked about it afterwards, when the attack had been over, but it felt as if it had brought them a little more together somehow. Perhaps they were or perhaps they weren’t. Jyn wasn’t completely sure but there was no point in getting things all messy now. In two weeks they were going to get married and that would be that.
Knowing that it was only 14 more days until the big event was already enough stress on her small shoulders. Right now it was just easier to make herself believe that maybe there was this small chance Ryan did love her, did want to be her and not just because they were forced to. She knew she would find out after the wedding but no matter the outcome, she just wanted him to be happy. And if that meant he wanted to be with other people than she would suck it up and let him. Their parents might force them into marrying but Jyn wouldn’t force him into being her husband. She couldn’t pretend all was well when it wasn’t.
She couldn’t make Ryan miserable. He didn’t deserve to miss out on his own happiness.
Right now though, she was holding his hand and following him up the stairs to his dorm. “Have you ever been into other common rooms and dorms than your own? I feel so lame for not stetting foot in any others than the Raven one.” Jyn actually was a little nervous and excited. It felt like she was trespassing or something, as if she and Ryan were out on an adventure together.
