Chaz loved Christmas. One thing he loved more than Christmas was Christmas unsupervised. Which meant just one thing: parties! Nights and nights of parties with Davey, one of his best friends and the only one who was 'lucky' enough to have his own house minus parental supervision. Of course he knew it was a horrible time for him, and it was mostly his desire to make his friend happy that had him coming over this year but the fact that they'd get to do everything they wanted for a period of time was an absolute bonus.
His parents didn't mind him spending Christmas with his friend, as it was never a big deal at their house. They asked him to be home for New Years though, and he'd politely extended the invitation to Davey, not wanting him to be home alone during such an event. It was hard having to deal with the fact that your parents suddenly weren't here anymore for the start of a new year, but having to 'celebrate' it all alone was something he wouldn't wish upon anyone.
So he was standing at Daveys doorstep bright and early on the 24th of September, a Hufflepuff scarf wrapped around his neck as he rapped on the door, smiling brightly at the prospect of seeing his friend again. Granted, it had been only a few days before that they'd been on the train home, but he was used to seeing the Gryffindor at least every other day.

Davey sat alone in the huge silent house. It was his first Christmas without his parents. He still couldn't believe they were gone. How could it be possible that one minute he had been hugging them as they walked out the door to go to work, his mom had been scolding him about leaving his dirty clothes laying around again, his dad had promised to fly with him when he got home that evening. But, they never came home. Instead, Davey recived that fateful letter. His parents were dead. The letter never said exactly how they died. That was the part that made him angry. He deserved to know how his parents died.
As he sat there in silence, contemplating everything that had happened, and what was yet to come; the doorbell rang. Wait... the doorbell? Why would the doorbell be ringing? Standing with a sigh, he walked to the door. Before reaching for the door knob, he wiped his eyes. Had he really been crying? Odd... he hadn't really noticed. Of course his eyes were probably red and puffy right now. Not that he cared of course. Why care about anything when the two people closest to you in the world were dead?
He opened the door, and stepped back in shock. "Chaz? What are you doing here?" he asked, moving aside so that his best friend, and the secret object of his affection could come inside.

Chaz beamed as he saw his best friend, though his face fell when he saw the obvious signs that he'd been crying. That wasn't good. It was probably good that he was here then, he decided, and brightened up once more, leaning in to give his friend a big hug. "Let me in, I'm freezing my balls off dude"
Pushing past him, he closed the door and attacked his friend once more, burying him in his arms. He was always very physical with Davey, manhandling him here and there, wherever he wanted him to go really.
"What, you thought I'd let an unsupervised Christmas pass me by? No chance in hell. I told my folks what happened and they agreed that I should come down and keep you company. So you know what that means...we're going out tonight!"
When Chaz was this excited, it was hard not to at least smile, and he was counting on that. He'd had a lot planned for his friend, including the biggest sacrifice of all - taking him to a gay bar. He figured it was time his best mate met someone he could fall in love with. It was time for him to be happy again! "I've got it all planned. We're going to a gay bar, and I'm betting you I can get some ass before you do" His eyes were sparkling as he looked at his friend. Surely Davey couldn't back down from that challenge.

Davey had to laugh. That was one of the many things he loved about Chaz. The other boy could make any situation funny. "Balls? What balls?" he teased, as the other boy entered the house. He smiled as his best friend literally attacked him, smothering him with hugs the way he normally did. Most people thought it was odd that the two were so physically affectionate with eachother. But to the two of them, cuddling with eachother was as natural as walking in the rain. It was just how they showed eachother they cared.
He laughed again when Chaz mentioned not letting an unsupervised Christmas go to waste. "So basically you're just here to wreak havoc, as usual?" he teased lightly. He knew the real reason was that Chaz didn't want him to be alone, and for that he was grateful.
His face fell however, when Chaz mentioned going to a gay bar. That was the one thing he hadn't had a chance to tell his parents before they died. Now he would never have the chance. Davey sighed and looked away from Chaz. "I don't know if that's such a good idea." he said quietly.

Wreak havoc. Yep, that was a pretty good description. Chaz nodded happily, his arm swung around the others shoulder as he ushered him into the living room, where he plopped down on the couch as if he belonged there. Hearing him say that going to a gay bar wasn't a good idea made him frown, and he sighed, putting his legs up on the coffee table. "Davey, you can't just go straight because you never had the chance to tell them. You are who you are, I'm sure your parents would want you to be happy."
He didn't often have heart to heart talks with his best mate, not if there was fun to be had instead. But when it came to giving him advice, he was always there, listening, doing the best he could. He honestly had Daveys best interest at heart, and he would be there for him whenever he could, doing whatever he needed to do to make it better.
"Besides, wouldn't it be ridiculously funny to see me chatting up some bloke? Come on, how often do I offer up a chance to make a fool of myself, just for your entertainment?" Okay, that question didn't need an answer. He often made a fool of himself to get the other to laugh.

Davey sighed as well. He knew Chaz was right. "I know." he said softly, staring down at his scruffy sneakers. "But how do you know they wouldn't kick me out?" he'd heard so many stories of gay teens being kicked out of their homes. Or worse... some kids' parents did to them what Ash's dad did. Both Davey and Chaz knew what Ash's dad was really like. But there was never any real proof because Ash was so good at hiding it. So they couldn't go to the Headmaster. Besides, Ash would be furious. Of course, Davey would rather have his friend mad at him, then being abused by his dad.
Sighing once more, he did something he usually did when he was upset, confused, or just needed some form of comort. He crawled onto Chaz's lap, snuggling against his closest friend. It wasn't unsual to either of them. "Do you really think they wouldn't have a problem with it?" he asked in a small, soft voice. He knew he shouldnt've doubted the older boy, but still.. when faced with something this big, one couldn't help but wonder.
He did however, manage a smile when Chaz asked him how many times he made a fool of himself just for the smaller boy's entertainment. "Uh.. Chazzy, you make a fool of yourself no matter what you're doing!" he teased. "But yeah, seeing you chat up a guy would be hilarious."

He welcomed the younger boy into his arms, cuddling up with him as they did so often. It was a good thing he was so secure about his sexuality, because a lot of people assumed that he was a closet gay guy, just trying to get what touches he could. "Honey, I know your parents...they would've loved you no matter what. They do love you, even if they're not here to tell you anymore. There's no way in hell that they'd kick you out for being gay. You're their son, their only kid, they'd love you even if you were a serial killer." Which, well, hopefully Davey wouldn't turn out to be that, though they'd both made plans to murder Ash's dad on occasion.
Chaz placed a soft kiss on the top of the Gryffindors head, his arms protective around the younger male. "It's settled then. We'll go, I'll act ridiculous, it'll make you smile. It'll be a good night for the both of us, as long as I don't end up snogging some guy. That'd be weird." He wouldn't really freak out over it though, with all his friends being gay-inclined. No, it was worse that he'd be cheating on Caye than that it'd be with a bloke. Still, he didn't plan to end up snogging anyone.

Davey knew Chaz was right. But that didn't make this any less hard. "Well, mum and dad might not have cared, but what about other kids at school? Not everyone is so accepting of gays. Even these days we're still getting bashed. I mean, look at Ash. Of course his dad's always been an ass but I have a feeling it got worse after he came out." Wait... why was Davey worrying about society? He'd never given a damn what people thought of him. In fact, he'd always said 'fuck society'. So why freak out now?
Davey smiled as he felt Chaz press a small kiss to the top of his head. "Yeah, I'll bet you twenty galleons you're gonna end up drunk and start making out with some random dude." he teased his friend. Alot of people thought that Chaz was a closet gay, and sometimes Davey himself wondered. But Chaz had a girlfriend. Of course he didn't know why Chaz was still with her even after she'd cheated on him. But hey, that was Chaz's choice.
There was one thing though, that set Chaz apart from Davey's other friends. He was much more willing to talk and cuddle. Sure Davey's other friends would hug him from time to time, but no one else let him sit in their lap. Of course he never tried, but sometimes Chaz was the one that initiated it. He seemed to be alot more touchy-feely with Davey than he was with his own girlfriend. Interesting.

"Fuck them. Come on, there's hardly any guy in school that hasn't had a gay encounter these days, and the rest of them are just scared they're gay." Interestingly enough, Chaz was neither of them, but he figured he was more likely to have a gay encounter than to turn out gay. After all, curiosity was something that could easily be satisfied. "Besides, you know I'd beat up anyone who'd dare to hurt you." That was, if David asked him to. If his friend rather executed revenge on his own, he'd gladly accompany him and watch.
Just then Davey bet him twenty galleons, and that was something he couldn't back down from. A bet? Oh hell, he was in for it. "Twenty galleons? Why do I have a feeling you'll be spending money on me to get me drunk? You know you can get me to do anything when I'm drunk!" Even if that involved kissing a bloke. He had to make sure he didn't get THAT drunk tonight, or the twenty galleons would be leaving his pocket, and he could definitely use them for something else.

Davey nodded. Once again, Chaz was right. "True" he admitted. "Besides," he continued; "Since when the fuck have I cared about society?" It was true. David Anthony Easely had never bowed to the rigid conforms of society. And he sure as hell wasn't about to start now.
He smiled when Chaz vowed to beat up anyone who would dare hurt him. "I know you would" he replied, placing a small kiss on his friends cheek. "But I can take care of myself. So you don't have to worry about me"
He snickered at Chaz's accusation of getting him drunk just to see the older boy make a fool of himself. "Whatever makes you think I would do that?" he asked innocently. Maybe a little too innocent...
Of course he was going to get the other boy completely wasted! How else could he expect to win the bet? No one ever won a bet by being fair now did they? No, of course not.
Besides, Chaz was right. Davey could get the older boy to do just about anything when he was drunk. And that was something Davey was not about to pass up anytime soon. Chaz was damn hilarious when he was drunk!

Chaz snuggled into him a little more, smiling when he saw his friend relaxing a little more. It was nice that he didn't worry about his parents as much as he used to, and he was glad that he'd talked to him about it. Almost as glad as that he'd come over, because he couldn't stand the thought of his friend spending Christmas break alone.
"I'm just glad I'm safe with you" He teased, poking his friends side with one long finger, "at least I know you'll keep me from doing stupid things..." Like hell he did. Davey would stand on the sideline and laugh his arse off if he caught Chaz doing something he shouldn't. "Oh wait. No. You're the friend that likes to get me in trouble! Hmmm...figure I'm only safe from being kissed by you then. Now that'd be something else indeed."
He knew that, as much as Davey loved seeing him make a fool of himself, he'd never actually participate in something like that. They were friends, and even though the younger male was gay, he wouldn't try for a snog with him, take advantage of him in a situation like that. Which was a good thing, as he didn't want their friendship ruined. "Boy am I glad you're not secretly crushing on me, or I'd have to fend you off all night!"

Davey felt a small thrill go through him when Chaz snuggled him even more. Not that he made it known of course. It would completely ruin their friendship if Chaz ever found out that the younger boy was secretly crushing on him.
He squirmed away when Chaz poked him. "Quit it" he said slapping at the Hufflepuff's hand. He smiled when Chaz said he was glad that he was safe with the younger boy. "I think the feeling goes both ways" he replied. It did. Chaz made him feel safer than of his other friends.
He laughed when Chaz said that he would keep the older boy from doing anything stupid. As if! Davey would be standing on the sidelines watching and laughing his ass off as his friend made a total fool of himself. They both knew this. "Hey, it's not my fault you're so damn funny when you're making a fool of yourself" he defended.
Then, Chaz said how glad he was the Davey wasn't secretly crushing on him, otherwise he'd have to fight him off all night. Shit, shit, shit! Oh this was not good, Chaz could never know that Davey did secretly fancy him. Their friendship would be over. Davey would rather admire him and not have him, then ruin their friendship over it. So, he made sure to keep his outward expression light as he laughed and replied, "Yeah, that would be way akward"

"Very awkward" Chaz agreed, taking advantage of the others squirming to get in another couple of pokes. In fact, it wouldn't be really awkward, he figured he could deal with things. Yeah, his friend would like him, but he'd get over it in time, and they could still be friends, could still do what they were doing right now. "I'd still love you though" He said happily, arms tightening around his friend for a second before almost throwing him off his lap.
Stretching, his shirt riding up a little, he looked at his mate. "Right. Let's get some hot chocolate in our system, order in some ridiculously spicy food and plan where we're going tonight. I'm assuming you know what hot club to get us into...do we need fake ID's? Cause you know I can totally get us some." He could pretty much get them into any club with just his smile, his innocent looks, but in case that failed, some ID's were possibly handy to have.
"Where's the rum to pour into our hot chocolates?" He wandered into the kitchen, opening up cupboards at random before pushing himself up on the counter, letting his legs dangle. "Chop chop Davey! We haven't got time to waste! There's precious alcohol to drink! Boys to flirt with! I'd think you'd be more enthused!"

"Extremely awkward. Quit poking me" was Davey's reply. Why did Chaz always have to poke him? He knew it annoyed the younger male... and baddabing baddaboom... we have an answer! He did it because it annoyed the Gryffindor. Of course. That was Chaz for you
He smirked when Chaz admitted that he'd still love him. "Of course you would. How could you not love me?" he asked incredulously as if the mere thought of someone not loving him was something he could not fathom.
"Hey!" he protested as Chaz practically threw him off his lap. "Big meanie!" he said, childishly sticking out his tongue and then pouting slightly. Davey knew he looked adorable when he pouted and not like a petulant child that's been denied her lollipop. He often used his cute, innocent looks to his advantage. More times than he cared to count really. He must've learned it from Chaz.
He watched as his friend prowled around his kitchen. "The rum is in the cabinet to your right. Towards the back, it should be behind the oreos." Davey loved oreos, despite the fact that they were primarily a muggle snack. But what the hell did he care? He loved the damn things.
"Amd there is a new club that's opening up tonight. I think the name is Amore. As for IDs, I'm not sure. Best to bring them along just in case"

"Oreos!" All thought of rum and spicy food was forgotten as his friend mentioned the Muggle snacks. Chaz made a leap for the cabinet, finding the packet and unwrapping it with as much speed as he could muster, before happily munching on the treats. "I'm no good now, you should take charge of things" The brunette warned, stuffing another of the cookies into his mouth. He had a big sweet tooth, but as he worked out on a day to day basis, he didn't gain too much weight. 'Sides, teenage boys were meant to eat all the junk they could possibly keep down.
He remembered the forged ID's he'd made just the day before, happy that he'd remembered to pack them. Digging one handedly into his back pocket, he tugged out his wallet and tossed it at his friend. "You're Davey Jones now, courtesy of the Muggle movie. You're twenty-one and God help me, you'll look it even if I have to smear your face in make-up." A new club opening up sounded good, there were bound to be lots of guys that Davey could flirt with.
