personality.
How do you treat your friends:
Rune is a good friend to the few who are close to him; if you manage to earn his friendship and gain his trust, he'll stick by your side and watch your back. He'll do almost anything for his best friends, as long as he doesn't feel like they are using him -- as soon as Rune feels he's being used, he turns into an enemy. Toward the majority of his "friends", however, there is a tense distrust on Rune's part. He is aware that the human race is a selfish one, and he understands that most people will do anything if it benefits them somehow. Due to this, he mistrusts most of his acquaintances and harbors a great many secrets from them. He is prone to using some of his lesser friends as well, since they are not all that important to him anyway.
How do you treat your enemies:
Rune is cryptic in his hating; he doesn't let anyone (other than occasionally his very close friends) know who is on his hit list, especially not the target himself. Publicly, Rune simply ignores his enemies until the chance falls upon him to ruin their lives somehow. He holds grudges for the longest time and although he has never killed anyone yet, he fantasizes about it all the time and thinks up elaborate murder schemes that would leave no evidence behind. When Rune manages to get his enemies alone, he is taken to torturing them and then erasing their memory with the Obliviate charm.
Social Status:
Unlike his notorious brother, Rune tends to stay away from unfamiliar crowds and instead keeps to himself and his close friends. He is neither very popular nor well-known, and he is perfectly content with staying that way.

Skills/Hobbies:[/li][/ul]
Rune loves writing, and he is quite practiced at it too, having been coming up with stories and poems ever since he was able to. Almost all of his stories fall into the horror genre, complete with blood and gore and macabre, but they are beautifully written and worded. This child is also quite good at playing the harp, having been forced by his parents to learn it from a very young age.

Best/Worst memory:
BEST. Rune does not have a specific best memory, although there have been several moments in his life that he remembers fondly. One of said times would have to be when he got one of his short stories published in a literary magazine; this gave him a boost of confidence in his writing and inspired him even further. Several other good memories of Rune's would be when he got his letter to Hogwarts, his first boyfriend, when he mastered the harp, the first time he got drunk, and his first sexual experience.
WORST. Similar to his good memories, Rune has several bad memories instead of just one worst memory. Some of those include the day he was forced into an arranged marriage, when his older brother discovered his ability to speak Parseltongue (Rune is jealous of Jade's ability), the time he was fooling around with his parents' snakes and got bitten by an adder and had to be rushed to St. Mungos, and when he accidentally started a fire in his room at home and was punished heavily by his father.
Secrets:
Rune has used the Cruciatus curse on people several times before as a way of getting revenge on them for various things they did to piss him off. After torturing them, Rune carves an "R" into the back of one of their wrists and uses the Obliviate charm to erase their memories of what he did to them.
...He's a bit insane when he becomes violent.
There are several other secrets, but the above is the most significant.

before and after.
How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
Arielle and Reid did not meet and fall in love like most couples do; instead, they were arranged to be married by their parents when Arielle was at the young age of four and Reid was fifteen. The girl was far too young to complain, or even comprehend, this arrangement, but Reid was nowhere near content. Being a young boy, he threw a fit over this plan at first and tried to rebel against his parents’ decision, but to no avail. He grew older and so did Arielle, and when Arielle finally turned thirteen the two officially became betrothed.
They were never really in love, but nevertheless they stayed together to please their parents and to ensure a continuation of the pureblood lines. Reid was kind and gentlemanly enough, and so Arielle was content to be by his side. They taught each other a lot of things, grew fond of each other after a few years, and eventually came to have children together. Three, to be precise.
Jade, Rune's brother, was the first born in the family, and a year later Rune and his sister, Zjael, came into existence as twins. All of the Neumair children were forced into arranged marriages much like their parents had been, and none had any say in it whatsoever.
The Neumair children grew up in a fashion similar to many purebloods; they were privately schooled by their parents in their luxurious family estate. Rune and his siblings were cared for by Arielle, who decided to be a stay-at-home mom after giving birth, and their father brought in the money to support them and their rich lives. Rune was never too rebellious of a child; Jade was the son who caused Arielle the most grief. Arielle became quite strict with her children when Rune and Zjael were born, and all of them learned rather quickly that it was in their best interest to obey their mother.
Rune had a fondness for writing ever since he was able to read and write, and he began composing poems and stories from a very young age. His mother also taught him Harp, since she wanted each of her children to excel in a different instrument, and Rune took to it very quickly.
Coming To Hogwarts:
Nothing much changed in Rune's life when he came to Hogwarts other than him beginning formal magic lessons. His parents had taught him a lot of magic from home even before he came to the school, so he was a very good student and earned excellent marks. Socially, he tended to avoid the larger crowds and associate only with those in his own house with similar interests. Rune was never shy, but he was not outgoing either. He simply didn't feel the need to chat with everyone who crossed his path. It took the boy a while to get used to living in a dormitory with so many other children, but he eventually became accustomed.
What do you want to do after Hogwarts:
Rune definitely wants to pursue writing as a career -- he intends to be a famous poet and novelist and he is determined to achieve his goal. He has no desire to take over the world or anything like that, but Rune does desire power. He believes he can control people through writing if he is manipulative enough with his words, and that is what he is going to try to do.

An icy chill hung in the stone corridors of the castle, Winter's breath already present despite it being as early as November. The torches on the walls cast a warm orange glow into the hallways, flickering weakly every time someone walked past them. Dinner had only recently ended, and students were wandering the school in various directions as they made their way to their numerous destinations. The majority retired up to their common rooms to change clothes, but Rune had decided to venture straight to the music room.
Clothed in the silver-and-green-lined robes of Slytherin, the boy silently navigated the passageways until he came upon the proper door. Turning the handle and pushing the door open, Rune stepped into the comfortable room beyond and closed the door carefully behind him. Surprisingly enough, the music room was deserted.
A smile tugged at the corner of his lips and he made his way toward the mirror in the back to put his lip stud back in. Having to take it out for class every day was a huge pain, but Rune thought it was worth it in the end. Sticking the bar into his lip and screwing the ball on, he stared for a second at his reflection and then turned away, walking over to the harp in the corner.
Peering at it through makeup-rimmed eyes, the boy hesitated a moment and glanced around him. There was still no one here, and so contentedly he sat beside the instrument and began plucking its strings idly. From a very young age his mother had been teaching him harp, and so once Rune actually began to play it the music room was filled with a soothing, beautiful melody that diffused out and filled every corner of the chamber. His long fingers danced gracefully across the harp, his black-polished nails aiding him in pulling on the strings and creating the delicious sound that swirled about him. Closing his eyes, Rune forgot about reality and existed only in the music for a while, focused, absorbed, and calm.
