Pet:
Calixto, or Cali, is a male Pipistrelle, the smallest and most common of British bat species. He's about four and a half centimeters (1.8 inches) long from head to claw, has a wingspan of 21 centimeters (8.3 inches), and weighs about seven grams (0.02 pounds). Cali's diet includes nothing but a variety of small insects, and he is naught but a year old. His fur is a red-brown, and upon his head sit two short, broad ears.
As for personality, Cali's isn't all that complex. He's extremely attached to Levi; he is almost always clinging to the boy, and he absolutely hates having to go far from his owner. Each evening Levi will let his bat out of a window so that he can feed on insects, but the small mammal always returns as quickly as he possibly can. Toward other people Cali has little opinion, though when Levi lets others hold his bat the creature will immediately make his way back to its owner.
**WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE**
Picture:
Looks:
Height:
Five feet and five and a fourth inches.
Weight:
One hundred thirty nine pounds.
Hair Colour:
Levi's hair is naturally a plain cocoa brown, but he dyes it jet black due to his preference of that colour. The true "black" colour tends to fade from his hair rather fast, however, and so most of the time Levi's hair is more of a very dark blackbrown. It falls down in what would be considered a medium cut, and it is normally combed down and orderly. Levi uses hairsprays every now and then, but for the most part he allows the strands their freedom and flexibility.
Eye Colour:
This boy's eyes shine in a pretty sky blue, and the colorful shirts he wears often help in drawing attention to them. For the most part they remain blue even from a distance, but every now and then Levi will wear green and they can seem to adopt a more aqua tint.
Appearance:
Uniform Accessories:
There's not all that much that this boy does to spice up his uniform, believing that there is little point in doing so. Occasionally he can be caught wearing a necklace or ring, and beneath his cloak sleeves he rarely goes without an arm band on his left wrist and an array of handmade beaded bracelets on his right.
Noticeable Traits:
Levi's got no tattoos or piercings, although he does have a strange birthmark on his left ankle and a handful of various scars. One of the most noticeable scars (or groups of scars) can be found on his right arm; starting from his thumb and ending near the base of his elbow is a chain of shining white marks, evidence from when Levi was attacked by a dog.
When walking in a crowd, the thing that sets this kid apart from the rest would most certainly be his style. Despite his being shy and dislike of drawing attention to himself, Levi sure dresses...colorfully enough. His tight-fitted shirts and skinny jeans do a great job in making him appear overly feminine, and the colors he wears are simply too bright to ignore.
Favourite Outfit:
When out of uniform, Levi is almost always seen wearing garments of either some bright color or black. He is quite fond of blues and hot pink, and the boy almost always mixes these shades into his outfit somehow. He's got a sizable collection of studded belts ranging in hue, as well as a few pairs of shoes including vans and converse. Levi loves wearing skinny jeans, too, and in the winter he almost never goes without a hoodie.
**PERSONALITY**
:: This male is very susceptible to the emotions, feelings, and circumstances of other people. He is a good listener for the most part, and he sympathizes with everyone who needs it. In short, he understands people and can relate to the majority of those he comes across.
How do you treat your friends:
Levi treats his friends like family, and to him that's exactly what they are. He'll always stick beside them and he's willing to do literally anything for his friends, even if it means sacrificing his own happiness.
How do you treat your enemies:
Despite not hating anyone and having no enemies he's aware of, if such a relationship ever did form between him and someone else Levi would not do too well. Being a pacifist, Levi never resorts to violence -- even in self defense. He could never hurt anyone, so any enemy of his would definitely have the upper hand.
Social Status:
Levi isn't exactly popular. In fact, he's not popular in the slightest. He's got a few close friends and a few more acquaintances, but that's about it; he never really makes any effort to go out and meet anyone new. The boy often feels awkward in social situations, and he hates to be judged by all those faces out there who he sees as better than him.
Positive Traits:
- Sensitive
[/li][li] Courteous :: Being brought up with manners and such would naturally cause this boy to become polite and respectful, and that he is. Levi's got great manners, be they in speech or at the table, and due to his upbringing he finds it rather irritating when other people do not have manners. He respects all adults and professors he meets, and he treats them with a lot more kindness than the majority of students.
[/li][li] Altruistic :: This boy cares deeply about other people, and he holds their welfare above his own interests at all times. Levi hates to see anyone else hurt or upset, and he'll do everything in his power to prevent them from becoming so. He's also always an available shoulder to cry on, and he absolutely loves comforting others.
[/li][li] Passive :: Submissive, patient, and non-violent, passive is an excellent word to describe Levi. He doesn't think violence solves anything, and he hates it when people do use it for whatever means. The child is also very much submissive; he lets other people take the positions of dominance while he happily follows in their shadow.
[/li][li]Clever :: Mentally quick and resourceful, Levi could easily be called clever. He never has to think about something for too long before he figures it out, and he is great at solving things quickly and easily. However, at times his innocence will make him a bit oblivious as to the actions and intentions of others.
[/li][li] Loyal :: Levi's like a dog - completely and utterly loyal. He'd never even think of cheating on someone, and he makes sure that his friends can trust him 100% by keeping their secrets locked away. He's always there in a relationship, and he pays complete attention to his significant other over anyone else.[/li][/ul]
Negative Traits:
- Shy
[/li][li] Mercurial :: Levi tends to sudden changes in behavior as well as moodiness. One minute he can be completely happy and the next he'll be dark and gloomy. Of course, his mood swings never occur for no reason -- normally they are triggered by something someone says or does that just ticks him off.
[/li][li] Overly Curious :: Levi wants to know everything -- he loves information, and he's constantly seeking it out. Whether this curiosity comes out in the form of a barrage of questions or constant nagging at his friends to help him get answers, it gets pretty annoying after a while.
[/li][li] Clumsy :: Accident-prone is definitely a word commonly associated with Levi. He's always dropping things, falling down, bumping into things, and tripping. The boy manages to trip over air at least thrice a day, and falling up stairs is almost a daily ritual for him.
[/li][li] Pensive :: Mr. Owens is always daydreaming or musing over various things, whether those be speculations on how a book will end or creating and detailing his own little imaginary world. He seems to always be lost in his head -- so much that's it's amazing he manages to maintain his good marks.
[/li][li] Subservient :: This boy is a natural follower, and he absolutely hates being placed in positions of leadership. He's completely willing to listen to other people give out the directions, and anything different is always painfully uncomfortable for him.[/li][/ul]

Best/Worst memory:
WORST;; When Levi was about 9 years old he decided to wander outside to enjoy the beauty and arrival of Spring, always having had a fondness for the life that the season brought. His parents thought nothing of it since he did it so often, so they only told him to stay close to the house and let him go. He'd hardly been in the front yard for five minutes when he heard a dog barking and turned to see the neighbors' German Shepard running at him, fur bristling and teeth bared. Before he could run the dog had leapt at him and sunk its teeth into his arm, biting him several times before his yelling brought his parents running out. Levi was rushed to the emergency room and healed fine in time, but he'd dead scared of dogs to this day.
BEST;; No single moment can claim to being this child's best memory, but instead a collection of little things can. Smiles light his face when he remembers wandering the streets of Chester with his father, looking at buildings and sketching them with his dad's help. Similarly, Levi remembers all the mornings his mother would make him hot cocoa to wake him up and all the breakfasts she'd prepare in the mornings. Third, Levi's first kiss is still a fond memory, despite that relationship not lasting long.
Secrets:
There are no deep secrets lurking in this boy's heart, but there are a few things he would rather people not know. The first, of course, is that he's attracted to other boys. The reality of it confuses him, and right now he doesn't want a soul to find out. Another couple secrets he wouldn't tell anyone is that he often wishes he was a girl, and that is deathly afraid of dogs.
**YOUR HOGWARTS CAREER**
What subjects are you taking this term:
- Ancient Runes :: O
- Care of Magical Creatures :: O
- History of Magic :: A
- Transfigutation :: O
- Astronomy :: O
- Potions :: E
Favourite/Least Favourite Subject:
FAVORITE:
Of the classes he'd taking this term, Levi enjoys Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, and Astronomy the best. Why? He's interested in those subjects. Learning runes is somehow fascinating, and Levi has always harbored an interest for the stars. As for Care of Magical Creatures, that can be explained simply by the boy's love of animals.
LEAST FAVORITE:
Potions and History of Magic are not this kid's favorite periods to attend. Regarding the first, Levi is not a fan of the classroom itself -- it's cold, dull, and unfriendly. Potions is also a very hands-on course, and since the boy's train of thought tends to wander he finds himself struggling at times. The same is true for History of Magic -- Levi cannot pay attention and honestly could care less about the history of magic.
What kind of student are you:
Levi works hard on his schoolwork and manages to hold good grades, but he's a bit of a dreamer. Often he'll drift off into his head during lessons and not hear a word that's being said, which in turn causes him to have to read through pages and pages in the textbook or stay after class to get extra help. He's quiet, though, and never chats or interrupts the lesson.
What is your preferred House:
Ravenclawww.
**BEFORE AND AFTER**
How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
Isabella and Michael Owens were simply two human beings struggling through life like everyone else in Chester, England, only different in that they were magic users. Mike had been born and raised in Cheshire, and Isabella had spent the majority of her childhood in the nearby country of Wales. Both had come from partially-wizarding families, and the two met during their schooling years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Michael was in sixth year when he found the third year Isabella sobbing near the Black Lake, and after comforting and reassuring her for quite a while they ended up becoming friends. Of course, that friendship budded and bloomed into love after about a year or so, and the two eventually graduated and married.
When Levi came along, the two were absolutely thrilled. It had been a tough pregnancy for Izzy, but as soon as she rested her eyes upon her newborn son it all became worth it. He was named Levi simply because the two took a fancy to the calling, and he was cared for and loved deeply by both of his parents.
Due to his being born into a magical family, Levi never attended muggle school. His parents noticed small indications of their boy's abilities from when he was a very young tot, and so they chose to keep him homeschooled until his letter from Hogwarts arrived. They provided him with books and information, taught him to read and write at an early age to the best of their abilities, and continually told him stories of their own experiences in the magical world. Magic was never a secret for this child, and it was not the least bit startling when he turned eleven and received that invitation to the same school that his mum and dad had gone to.
Growing up in the Owens family wasn't all that dramatic or interesting, and the boy spent most of his time on his own. When he was old enough to begin venturing around his neighborhood by himself, Levi did so, wandering the streets of Chester and taking a great interest in the Victorian and medieval-style architecture of the place. These buildings, as well as nature in general, are what got the kid sketching -- he'd go outside and sit for hours trying to recreate the scenes in front of him. His only tools were normal graphite and coloured pencils, as those were the styles he most preferred. Paints were too messy, pastels smeared far too easily, and markers never quite looked as good as the boy desired.
Levi had also always been very fond of animals, and he was caught several times buying and slipping food to the neighborhood cats since his dad wouldn't allow him one of his own. It was nothing but an act of kindness toward the felines from his point of view, but his parents weren't exactly pleased when they would return home only to find three or four cats meowing at their front door. They banned their child from feeding the animals, but of course, Levi continued with his actions and acted as if he had no idea why the cats were there at all.
His parents had always stressed originality and not being afraid to express oneself, and so Levi grew up being allowed to wear just about whatever he wanted. His father was less supportive when he got a bit older and started showing an interest in the whole bright-and-tight style, but his mum continued to tell him that she would love him no matter how he chose to look. When his shirts became girly and his jeans became skinny his father attempted to talk him out of it, but Levi refused. He went ahead and dressed feminine, even going so far as to wear eyeliner every now and then, which both parents frowned upon.
Throughout his childhood Levi had a serious lack of social contact, and so he never really learned good social skills. He had a couple friends, sure, but outside of them the child never really attempted to befriend anyone else. He felt awkward when talking to people his own age, and instead of going out and playing in the park like the rest of the young boys he chose to stay at home and read. Reading had always appealed to him, and he felt more at peace when he was buried in a novel than he did sitting nervously on the swingset.
Coming To Hogwarts:
Arriving at Hogwarts was a new and exciting experience for Levi during the first couple months, simply due to his never having attended an actual school before. Forced into socializing and interacting with other young witches and wizards, the boy gradually opened up to other people and formed new, tight bonds of friendship. He allowed himself to relax while around companions, although still large groups tended to push the boy to a bit of a more uncomfortable edge.
This nervousness toward social interactions was later to dissolve than most of the other students, but nevertheless Levi worked toward his goal of self-confidence and by the end of his fourth year was no longer hiding in a shell. The lad resisted his urges to stay alone in his common room, and instead he talked and laughed and smiled along with his classmates. Still, he was shy, and it wasn't until he was fifteen that he even dated anyone. While other fifth years were off losing their virginity, Levi was having his first kiss. That relationship, despite ultimately failing, proved helpful in the boy's quest for confidence. He trusted himself more afterward and realized that he shouldn't take relationships and actions related to them quite so seriously.
Since then the boy has become quite comfortable and capable around people, but by no means is he anywhere near being a social butterfly.
What do you want to do after Hogwarts:
Unlike most wizards, Levi does not seek a career in magic. Some consider this a waste of his magical ability, but Levi is far more interested in pursuing a more muggle field of work -- linguistics. The boy is deeply interested in studying the various elements that make a language, and he craves to be able to speak in several foreign tongues. With this knowledge, Levi hopes to be able to find a career as simple as translating novels into other languages or following in his mother's steps and becoming a tour guide in a foreign land.

Role-playing Sample:
Amidst the couples that were busy holding hands and staring into each others’ eyes from across the table sat a single lone boy, positioned comfortably in one of the cushioned chairs. He was leaning over the frilly pink tablecloth that protected the wood beneath and busily working away on what appeared to be, and was, a drawing. An aqua coloured pencil was held softly in his grip, and after scribbling away on the paper the child exchanged it for another – a purple one this time. He set to work again, and then after finishing a certain part paused to look it over. Bright blue eyes observed his work, and then they flicked up to compare the drawing to his subject.
The nearby chair was simply an ordinary object, but Levi found it intriguing with the black cloak and striped scarf lying atop it. The folds cast interesting shadows that the youth couldn’t help but want to try to capture, as dull as one might deem them to be. In all honesty, he could really care less about what others thought of his art; he drew for himself, and he never let anyone see his sketchbook, anyway.
Satisfied, the student bent back over his creation and continued working on it, alternating between blue, pink, and purple pencils. He never used any colors save for these and occasionally black; Levi found his art more interesting this way. His hand continued to drift up and down and across the page, until something floated lazily overhead and interrupted his thought process. A handful of cotton-candy-coloured confetti came raining upon his table, and Levi glanced up to see an annoying gold cherub grinning down at him. That was one thing about this place that he disliked; the stupid things with their pointless confetti. It did nothing but bother him.
Ignoring it, Levi looked back down and simply dusted the bits of plastic off of his sketchbook. He actually liked Madam Puddifoot’s, as weird as that sounded, but he wished they would get rid of the cherubs. He came here due to its quietness, its comfortable atmosphere, and the quality of the tea, but the decorations irked him every now and then. The little shop would be so much better off if it got a new decoration crew to come in and fix it up.
