Things were a little better by the time Thanksgiving came around. Better between Jyn and Ryan, at least. They'd spent some time together that night in the kitchens, talking over a mug of hot cocoa, and had a few non-dates afterwards, chatting to each other and generally getting to know one another a bit better. Though Jyn was still shy around him, he had a feeling that she trusted and liked him a little better, and it was an intoxicating feeling. So much so that he'd sent her a note, asking her to meet him in Hogsmeade that weekend.
Dear Jyn,
I was wondering if you'd like to meet me this afternoon? I figured we could hang out in Hogsmeade?
Love, Ryan
He had a fun afternoon planned, visiting stores, a bookstore, a sweets shop, a gift shop to get some christmas presents, things like that. To top it off, they'd end with a dinner in one of the romantic Italian places that the little town had to offer. With winter well on its way, it was turning into a romantic place alltogether, the snow having fallen down for the first time just yesterday. It was still there on the rooftops, leaving the city looking beautiful.
The brunette Slytherin was waiting in front of an old post office, smoking a cigarette while he was scanning the road for any sign of his date.

Sometimes she still felt as if she was living a dream. At first it had been a weird dream. Calling it a nightmare didn’t really do considering that having Ryan in your dream could never be an actual nightmare. It had just been a weird dream, but now? Now it felt like the dream was getting better. Even if the whole marriage thing was pretty screwed up it still seemed to be a dream she started to like more and more.
Jyn wanted to tell Ryan that. Badly. She just wasn’t sure how to yet.
The time they’d spend together had been great. Weird at first, but now Jyn could only call it great. Ryan was really trying to make it work and so was she. He was an amazing guy and she starting to feel more and more comfortable around him. When she got his note in the morning it had made her face lit up with a huge smile. Just like she had done with all the notes he had written her, she’d put it in her journal. Perhaps it was sad to do so, to keep the things he wrote to her, but she couldn’t bring herself to toss it away. Ryan was the first guy who was truly trying to make an effort, who wanted to spend time with her. To Jyn that was something special.
Course she had written him a note back:
Dear Ryan,
I’d love to! Want to meet up at the old post office after lunch? See you soon.
Love, Jyn
Dressed up in a thick black coat, grey gloves, a grey scarf and a grey woollen hat to keep her ears warm, Jyn turned into the road that let to the old post office. It didn’t take long before she was able to lay her eyes on Ryan. An instant smile made it to her lips and Jyn could feel a few butterflies fly through her stomach. It had taken a little while but she knew it for sure now.
She was in love with Ryan Robins. 100% in love with the cutest guy of the entire school.
Once she was close enough she waved at him, letting him know that she was here. “Hi Ryan.” her cheerful voice echoed through the street while she greeted him with a smile. The super shy Jyn from a few weeks ago had vanished and had made room for a way more fun Jyn. “Please tell me you haven’t been waiting long? Right before I wanted to leave the head master wanted to see me.” She’d hate it if he had been standing here for a while. If there was something that was rude, it was making people wait for you.

Ryan smiled as he saw her heading towards him, a happy greeting being called out from quite a distance away. People weren't paying much attention to them, or her, but she was all he focused on. On how happy she seemed to see him. It was an addictive feeling, one that made him feel happy and on top of the world, and it was those specific reasons that he liked being around her so much.
Sometimes the Slytherin wondered if he was falling in love with her, if this was what that was like, but he didn't really know if he wanted to know the answer. After all, what if it wasn't? What if this was simply going to stop? He didn't want it to, wanted it to last, so that they could actually make this marriage work.
"Hey sweetheart" He leaned in to hug her, brushing a kiss over her cheek. They still hadn't done anything physical, not even a simple kiss, because he wanted things to be special between them.
In fact, the brunette hadn't even been with anyone else since he started this thing with Jyn, as he was making his best effort to really try and make this work. "It's okay, I like being outside. Gives me room to think. What'd the Headmaster want with you?" He couldn't imagine it being anything bad, as his girlfriend was one of the sweetest people in school.
