**BEFORE AND AFTER**
How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
Daisy has had a rather normal and average upbringing. Raised by her mother and father in Nottingham, England, Daisy attended a muggle primary school. As a child Daisy had plenty of friends and was often well behaved. Like any other little girl she enjoyed sleepovers, playing dress up, pointing out cute boys and giggling girlishly. She was a normal girl in a normal world. At least as far as she knew.
Daisy-Anne, her grandmother, would tell her stories of a different world. A world with magic and dragons and people that flew around on brooms. A world filled with wizards and witches. Sophia, would often chastise her mother for telling her daughter such ridiculous stories. But Daisy loved them. They were always told in such great detail, as a child Daisy couldn’t help but believe they were real. Of course Sophia would dismiss the stories as silly nonsense. But there was something about the way she brushed off the subject and kept her gaze averted that made Daisy think otherwise.
Her suspicions were confirmed when she was 11 years old and had received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry.
Coming To Hogwarts:
Daisy was over the moon. All of her grandmothers stories, most of which surrounded the life of one Harry Potter, (Those were her favourite stories to hear), were true! Harry Potter existed. Hogwarts existed. Magic existed. Her grandmothers stories and the fact that Daisy had been accepted into Hogwarts couldn’t have been coincidence. It was then, Daisy-Anne, her grandmother decided it was she, Daisy and Sophia sat down for a talk.
The night of her acceptance, Daisy found that both her mother and grandmother were witches. Her grandmother a ‘pureblood’ and her mother a ‘half blood’. Daisy was the second of her sisters to be accepted into Hogwarts. Annabelle was the other. All that time Daisy had presumed she gone to a boarding school up north. Well she had, just not the one she originally thought.
After everything that had happened with Lord Voldermort, Sophia had never stepped another foot in the wizarding world. She refused to be involved with anything magic related and apparently she’d originally been opposed to allowing Annabelle to attend Hogwarts. She didn’t want any of her children in that world. However, she eventually caved and then Anna had disappeared, returning during the summer.
Sophia tried to talk Daisy into staying, though the youngest daughter was having none of it. There was little to nothing that could have stopped Daisy in her decision to attend Hogwarts and her mother knew it. Daisy knew that she blamed her grandmother for filling her head with stupid stories but Daisy knew that even if her grandmother hadn’t old her stories, she would have wanted to go anyway. Out of sheer
curiosity.
Her life at Hogwarts was a fast one and Daisy was swept up into the magic (No pun intended) of it all. Her once calm, safe and somewhat boring life became one filled with parties, class skipping and rule breaking.
Daisy had been mischievous, always ready to wander off around the school on an adventure. Looking for things hidden. When her mother and father began to fight at home, Daisy became worse. She never returned home during the holidays, opting instead to stay at the school or with a friend. Her life had been on downward spiral of alcohol and substance abuse and it had ended abruptly.
Having been found, drunk and unconscious, Daisy was finally pulled up before the School Head and it was either shape up or get out. She was suspended for the end of the year and sent home in order to sort out her state of mind. Her parents had divorced by this point and Daisy torn between the two, decided to go and stay with her older sister and the only other witch in the family (besides herself, mum and grandmother.), Annabelle.
Over the summer, Daisy shaped up, realising that the dangerous path she had taken would ruin her if she didn’t end it now. Annabelle helped of course and not before long Daisy had tamed herself drastically.
Returning for her sixth year, Daisy must act the perfect girl. She knows that if she steps out of line she may not graduate. Though it is harder than she first thought as there are people who want her to spiral and fall.
Daisy knows that it’s going to be a long year but she’s confident and sure that she can handle it.
What do you want to do after Hogwarts:
Daisy has nothing in the mind at the moment. For now she is only thinking about keeping out of trouble!
