He will try to make things right between him and whoever he’s fighting with, but he refuses to be like a puppy and follow someone around, begging for forgiveness. Favorite: Ancient Runes. It’s like learning a whole new language. It’s a difficult class, but the Professor is nice and Daniel likes the assignments he sets for the students.
Least favorite: Herbology. He just doesn't have that much with plants. He's good at the subject though, so he stuck to it after his OWLs.
What kind of student are you:
Definitely not a troublemaker. Most of the Professors like him, though he can definitely get distracted in class. He’s someone that needs to be looked after and called to attention every so often, though when he hands his work in it is usually at least acceptable. He’s a nice kid and works well with others. Most teachers think that he could do better if he just learned how to focus.

How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
Marie-Claire Clifton was a witch, but she spent most of her twenties as a ballet dancer, who spent years with a traveling ballet group. One night, she went to perform in Dorchester, the county seat of Dorset. She met David there, who worked in the theatre the company performed at. Though both were in a relationship at the time, they fell for each other and promised to keep in touch. Marie-Claire went on to dance in many more beautiful places, but she never forgot about the small town boy, and they did keep in touch. When she finally retired at the age of twenty-four, after a nasty injury, she visited David. They were both single and got together fairly soon afterwards. At the age of twenty-five, they were married and expecting their first child
When Daniel was twelve, his mother was diagnosed with cancer. His father began drinking heavily, not able to deal with the fact that his wife was in such poor health. Daniel tried to be with his mother as often as possible, but she died one night while he had just returned to Hogwarts, when he was fifteen. He went back for the funeral, but things were never the same after that. His dad's drinking got even worse, and he's been taking his grief out on his only son. Dan hasn't been hit often, but he's been hurt a few times. Still, it's his dad and he's the only family he has. His father dislikes how much he looks like his mother.
Coming To Hogwarts:
Hogwarts was surreal. Even with is mom being a witch, he didn't expect to be good enough to go to Hogwarts. Still, he loves it. There are a lot of pretty boys and girls willing to comfort him after his mother died, and he loves being able to do magic and combine it with dancing.
What do you want to do after Hogwarts:
Daniel desperately wants to dance. He is training so hard and hopes to become a part of a traveling dance group, or even act in musicals or something. As a back-up option, he is interested in doing something with kids...maybe sick kids or just teaching dance.

Daniel had just exited the Hufflepuff Common Room, changing his robes for the more casual Muggle attire he was now wearing. It was much easier to dance in, and that was exactly what he was going to do. Homework could wait. Dancing...well it couldn’t. If he did his homework first, and then had dinner, he’d have no time to dance. Not if he had to check up on his father and be back before curfew. It would be a tight fit as it was, so he mentally prepared himself to do homework in the middle of the night. It had been too many close calls with his Professors as it was, and the last thing he wanted was for people to start asking questions.
Climbing the stairs, he finally entered the Music Room, grinning as he walked in. He loved spending time here, aside from the grand piano it had technology to play Muggle cd’s. It was easily his favorite room in the castle, and he practically twirled around as he headed to the stereo. He put in an R&B cd. It wasn’t his favorite music to listen to, but he loved dancing to it. Stretching his muscles, he made sure that they were warm before starting his dance routine.
