Erik is a good looking kid. He knows this and he is sure everyone else does too. He doesn’t think he is a gift from god, but maybe from someone more naughty. He has blond hair that in the winter is a darker shade from being indoors a lot, in the summer it is a lot lighter. He hates that people think he highlights his hair. Erik’s hair grows really fast, so though he gets it cut in a messy spike style, it starts falling in his eyes after only a few months. His eyes are a stormy gray/blue, which can turn steely when he is annoyed, and which lighten to mostly blue when he is excited. He needs glasses for when he is reading, but only pulls them out if absolutely necessary. His aunt once told him he was ‘adorable’ in them and he wants to avoid that at all costs. He has a large smile, and his teeth are slightly crooked, a fact that he loves.
Erik is not a tall guy but not short either. At 5’9” he feels he could stand to be a little taller but doesn’t dwell on the thought. He weighs 164lbs. He is in pretty good shape, he loves to run and swim, and while he hasn’t been on a team before he used to play beater in pick-up Quidditch games with his old friends.

Erik isn’t big on accessories. He doesn’t wear jewelry, only a black leather cuff watch on his right wrist. He doesn’t have any scars or piercing. He does have two small tattoos that he got when his parents died. On the backs of his earlobes he has star outlines with his parents initials inside. The tattoos can’t be seen unless he bends his ears forward, and not even his aunt and sister know he has them. Eric thinks he does a good job following the school dress code, seeing as it is his first year wearing one. His tie is usually lose and the top button open on his shirt. He tends to push his sleeves up his arms, but his shirt stays tucked in all day.
Favorite Outfit:
Erik is big on jeans and t-shirts. He mostly wears dark washes that are kind of tight, not emo tight, but form fitting. In the winter he wears long sleeve shirts and sweaters, in the summer he wears a lot of tank tops. Mostly he wears blues, greens and black, but dark gray is a favorite as well. He has some great black leather boots that he wears almost at all times.

How do you treat your friends:
When Erik is around his friends he is usually in a great mood. He smiles a lot and tends to touch people when he is talking to them, even if it is just a hand on hand brush. He is always there to listen if someone needs to talk and he only gives advice if it is asked for. He learned this was best because he can be quite blunt, and doesn’t have much of a mental filter, which has gotten him into trouble in the past. He doesn’t mean to hurt anyone, but it has happened, and when it does, he usually doesn’t apologize. He has to have wronged you in a major way to give a real heartfelt ‘I’m sorry’. Most of the time he just laughs it off and moves on. Most of his friends have become used to this and don’t seem to mind. Or at least they don’t say anything.
When Erik makes a friend that person will stay his friend until someone realizes that it isn’t working any longer. Granted this person is often Erik, but some people do get fed up with him and leave. When this happens Erik moves on in about a day or two, out looking for someone else to be around. Eric is a huge flirt and he has no regard for sex or sexual orientation. This can make people uneasy at times.

When it comes to enemies Erik has two categories: ex’s and other. If you are in the ex side of his enemies he treats you just a little better. You will be insulted, you will be talked about behind your back, you will be confronted, and antagonized, and you may be flirted with just a tiny bit. When you are an ‘other’ enemy, all of the above will happen, minus the flirting. He will get into a physical confrontation with an ‘other’ enemy, but not with an ex seeing as he used to like them. He isn’t one to start physical fights, he is more of a verbal man, but he won’t back down if provoked.

Erik has always loved music and from a young age his mom encouraged his love. Now that he is older he can play the violin and the piano, and isn’t bad when it comes to singing. He always wanted to speak another language and tried hard, but was only able to learn basic Spanish from some of his moms friends kids. He likes to read, and he likes to be active. Being outside is best for him and he starts to get cranky when he is cooped up inside for to long.

Best Memory: Erik‘s best memory is from when he was around 12, his sister was 3 and playing in the sand near him, his parents were in the ocean splashing and acting like kids. He remembers feeling embarrassed by his parents, but now he can look back at the memory and be happy. It may not be special, and it could have been any day that they went to the ocean, but for some reason this one sticks out in his mind.

When he is in class Erik tries really hard to pay attention. Unfortunately if there is something more interesting going on his attention become divided. If it is something that he feels warrents more attention than the subject being taught he will ignore the teacher. When it comes time for homework or studying for tests he does better cause he tends to find a quiet place were no one else is to work on it.

How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
Will Knight had just graduated from Hogwarts and was celebrating at a pub with some of his mates when he first saw Anita Smith. He was instantly attracted to her; her blond hair and blue eyes so different from his brown hair and gray eyes. He began to court her and after about a year they got married. When he was twenty and her just shy of the same age she got pregnant with Erik. He was born right at 12:01 November 19th, and she always joked that he had waited so that he could be born on her dads birthday.
Erik had a fairly normal childhood. It was just him and his parents for the first eight years. They lived in his birth town of Dover, and he has many memories or their home and the beach near by. When Erik was nine his mom got pregnant again, this time with a little girl. Anita, while in love with Will and England wanted to go back to her home in Northern California. She explained that the wizarding school she went to was smaller than Hogwarts, so much so that most of the children there still lived at home with their parents instead of at the school. Will bent to his wife’s wishes and the family moved to the states shortly after Dianna was born.
Erik went to school and had many friends. He was popular and his teachers (mostly) loved him. He got in a bit of trouble but not more than any other teenager. During school breaks Erik and his sister would go and stay with Aunt Lillian, his fathers twin, who lived in London. His dad wanted his kids to know the land of their birth and his parents together just wanted some alone time.
At the very end of his fifth year, Erik came home one day to find his sister in her playpen alone and crying. Wondering where his parents were Erik looked around the house until he found a note from his mom saying that his dad was stranded at work and she was going to go pick him up. Dianna was sleeping and his mom knew he would be home soon so she left the girl there. This turned out to be a good thing. While on their way home from Will’s office Anita’s car lost it’s breaks and the car went off a cliff into a large lake. It was determined that the impact knocked his parents unconscious and they drown while out. Erik’s Aunt Lillian came to the states to look after her niece and nephew, and after all the legal and financial matters were seen too she took the kids home to London with her. Erik spent the rest of the summer waiting to see what his new school would be like, getting ready, and grieving.
Coming To Hogwarts:
Erik was excited to be going to a school where no one knew what had happened to him. He was also excited about living there, and being around people who wouldn’t think his accent was ‘bitchin’. He was a little embarrassed about having to be sorted with the first years, but got over it and was glad when he got to sit at his new table and meet some new people. He is hoping that this will be a good thing for him.

Erik really just wants to do something that will make him happy. He doesn’t want to have a desk job, he thinks that would be boring. Beyond that he really has no idea.

Erik woke in the dark to the snores of one of his roommates. He wasn‘t sure who it was but it was coming from his left so he thought it might be [name]. He rolled to his side to look through the window near his bed and saw that there was a faint line of pink on the horizon meaning that dawn was coming. He felt around his nightstand to find his watch and saw that it was a little after six am.
‘Well,’ he thought to himself as he stretched and shifted. ‘I might as well get up now, soon everyone else will start to move around and than I will have missed the quiet.’
Trying to be stealthy Erik rummaged in his trunk until he unearthed a pair of black sweats, a tank top and a sweatshirt. He pulled them on in the dark and carried his shoes down to the common room. After righting himself Erik made his way out to the front of the school and sat on the front steps, stretching and letting his eyes adjust to the limited light available.
Erik took a deep breath, the air was cool, and slightly moist. It had that wonderful earthy smell that you got early in the mornings, the smell that meant things were waking up and starting their day. He opened his eyes, turned away from the rising sun and took off in a gentle jog, ready to start his own day.
He ran for a while, until he was breathing hard and was was hot and slightly sweaty. By this time the sun was almost all the way up and he could see shadows of people moving in the castle windows. Erik stopped at the entrance to the school and removed his sweatshirt tossing it onto the steps. He walked around for a bit, letting his body cool down,and his breathing return to normal. He looked at his watch and saw that he still had some time to waste before he needed to go in and get ready for the day. With a smile on his face he sat, and than laid out on the grass in front of the school.
'Maybe if I lay here someone will come by to talk to me. That could be interesting.'
