Nate would like to say he's a good friend, but his record can show otherwise. He's hurt some people in the past, but the good thing is that he knows this and is willing to change. Getting hurt in return really helped putting things in perspective. It isn't that he really hurt people on purpose, it just tended to happen because he was forgetful or didn't know the right way to treat someone. All in all he's a nice guy, he just doesn't always say the right thing at the right time.

When people hurt him, Nathan tends to take it in and deal with it in silence. He isn't often one for revenge, he usually tries to steer clear of people that have hurt him. When it comes to people hurting his friends though, he can get very defensive. He'll try to protect them, but only if they appreciate it. The last thing he wants is to be that psycho friend who always watches over your shoulder.

How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
Shana and Elliott met when she joined an orchestra he was temporarily conducting. The beautiful violinist wasn't hard to notice, and it didn't take long for Elliott to be completely smitten with the girl. It took Shana a little longer, if only because she was focused on her career and didn't want to be held back by anyone. They eventually managed to work things out, and were married just three years after first meeting.
Nate's childhood was pretty uneventful, save for one thing that really shaped him. His parents were often away and thus were veyr practical with him. They barely ever had time for his emotional needs, and he was forced to be 'reasonable' from an early age on. Growing up as an only child this way was hard, and he never feels like he can truly be himself around his parents. This translates to other people as well.
When Nathan turned twelve, his parents adopted a small Nigerian girl, giving her a chance at a better life. Though he feels it's selfish of them, especially since they travel so much, he's really happy to have a sibling. He dotes on her as much as he can and loves her more than anything in the world.
Coming To Hogwarts:
When Nate found out he was a wizard, he was gobsmacked. When he found out he was offered a place at an English school...he was elated. It was his chance to be away from his parents, since Hogwarts was a boarding school. Though they were reluctant to let him go, his parents found out all they could about the school and eventually sent him off.
Hogwarts was paradise. Plenty of new people to meet, new things to study...he loved it. And when he figured out there were an abundance of cute boys around, he loved it even more. He's built up somewhat of a reputation, since every relationship ended in his cheating. When a pretty blonde American boy came to the school, Nate was quickly drawn to him. He's befriended him and is trying to get him to start a relationship with him.
What do you want to do after Hogwarts:
Nate doesn't have a set plan for the future. He knows what he wants, not job wise, but personally. He wants to be able to be a better father than his parents ever were, and he's hoping that he can one day change his ways and be a better person.
