**WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE**
Picture:
Looks:
Hair – blonde, naturally curly but always straightened
Eyes – Blue
Height – 5”8
Weight – 152 lbs
Appearance:
A plain silver band, given to him by his mum when he was little. Now that it fits him, he wears it on his left index finger.
A broad leather bracelet worn on his right wrist, given to him by a boy in the orphanage. He'd known the boy when he was young, and it was given to him as a present when he returned last year.
Favourite Outfit:
Mickey wears pretty much any clothes he has. He's not picky, though most of his clothes are simply plain shirts and jeans. A lot of his jeans have rips in places from general wear and tear. He tries to keep them as neat as he possibly can, and has even tried stitching up some of the holes in his trousers, but clothes can only last so long.
**PERSONALITY**
How do you treat your friends:
Mickey's a loving boy and likes to surround himself in people who love and care about him. He tends to love a lot of people, so he could end up with a lot of friends, but regardless of how many he has, he treats all of them like precious jewels. He's constantly aware that people can and will leave him whenever they wish, and doesn't take anyone for granted. He hopes that treating them as well as he possibly can will give them less reason to leave.
How do you treat your enemies:
He doesn't react very well to anything negative, but he has a very long temper.. Though Mickey doesn't tend to dislike people, if he does he's not likely to start anything with them. He'll just sit quietly and probably ignore them. If he's insulted or attacked in any way, it'll probably upset him but he'll keep his cool unless it's a very persistant thing, and even then he'll wait until he's alone to let it out. He very rarely cries.
Social Status:
Mickey wouldn't say he's popular, but he does like to have a fair amount of friends around him.
Positive Traits:
-Optimistic – Mickey tends to look on the bright side of things, no matter how sinister the situation is. There's always either something good happening or something that'll make things better very soon, in his eyes.
-Loyal – very much like a loyal dog, Mickey will stick by his loved ones no matter what.
-Bold
-Confident
-Compassionate
-Calm
Negative Traits:
-Childish – Having grown up mainly around children and without a decent mother, Mickey's attitudes and reactions to some situations can be very immature.
-Secretive – though he's happy to let people know about his sexuality, he'll keep pretty much everything else about his life to himself. Ask him about his home life, he'll grin and change the subject.
-Dependent – Mickey's very much dependent on the people around him to keep him happy and on track. This is the reason why he needs friends around him at all times, at any cost.
-Insecure
-Nervous

**SOME MORE INSIGHT**
Skills/Hobbies:
Mickey loves acting, so much that, while his life was stable, he'd gotten involved in a local youth theatre group. He had to give it up last year, when he moved again, but he's memorised a bunch of lines from various plays, especially Shakespeare, and can sometimes slip them in to any conversation he has without noticing.
He can also speak Latin, a strange skill but one he's quite proud of. His mother is very smart and learnt the language when she was at school. She loved it so much, she taught it to her son and shared this love with him.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes:

-Snow
-Being with friends
-Music
-Flirting, Relationships and everything that comes with them.

Best/Worst memory:
Worst – The whole of last August, between his step-father leaving, stumbling in on his mother's suicide attempt, her being taken away again and his being sent off again.
Best – His thirteenth birthday at Hogwarts, because it was when he realised he had secure friendships with people who loved him, it was generally a good day and he widely regards that as the happiest moment of his life
Secrets:
He lives in an orphanage because his mother has Borderline and is once again in an asylum because of several failed attempts to end her life.
**YOUR HOGWARTS CAREER**
What subjects are you taking this term:
DADA
Potions
Charms
Transfiguration
Astronomy
Herbology
History of Magic
COMC
Ancient Runes
Favourite/Least Favourite Subject:
His favourite class is Ancient Runes. He finds it hard, but he enjoys it, and he seems to have a love for all things “ancient”. History of Magic, however, is incredibly dull to him, and he has no interest in this class whatsoever, though he doesn't doubt that he'd like the class if only it was put in a more interesting way. He also likes transfiguration and DADA.
He quite likes Astronomy, but the classroom is so high up and he constantly has to stop himself from looking in any direction other than up. The rest of his classes are enjoyable enough.
What kind of student are you:
Mickey can get a bit distracted sometimes, and has the tendency to get a little loud around his friends, which can often annoy his professors. In general, though, he tries not to be disruptive, and is quite a hard worker..
What is your preferred House:
I have no idea =( Gryffindor or Hufflepuff?
**BEFORE AND AFTER**
How Did You Come To Be/Childhood:
The story of Michael McKey's birth is nothing like the typical, man and woman fall in love, have child, live happily ever after kind of story. For one thing, there was definitely no falling in love involved. There's actually no possible way of finding out who his father actually is. His mother had (and still has) Borderline Personality Disorder, and people with this disorder often act impulsively in a way that could possibly hurt them. Joan McKey's impulsive behaviour was mainly having promiscuous sex with any stranger who would. One day, she started to feel the typical signs of pregnancy (which she mistook to be a strange case of the flu at first) and roughly eight months later, she had her baby boy.
After Mickey's birth, her Borderline began to get worse, mounting up until the boy was one, when she made her second attempt to take her life, and nearly succeeded. Luckily for both mother and child, their neighbours, who were also Joan's friends, had taken to checking on the woman a couple of times every day. On this day, they knocked on the door, and received no answer. Trying a few more times and getting no response but the sound of a crying baby, the helpful neighbours called the emergency services, and the police and paramedics took care of things from then on.
It was clear that Joan was not stable enough to look after herself, let alone raise a child. Unfortunately, no one knew who Mickey's father was, and Joan had no other living relatives, so while she was sent off to an asylum, her son was put in an orphanage in London. He lived here until he was seven years old, growing up around many other children who were constantly coming and going, and made a good amount of friends. He never gave up on the idea that his mother would come back for him, even though he couldn't really remember who she was.
On his seventh birthday, his hopes came true, and his mother finally collected him from the place where he'd lived for the past six years. She took him home to who he eventually learnt was his step-father, who she'd been married to since he was five. As he grew up, he began to feel a little bitter that she'd seemed to pick her new husband over him. To this day, he still doesn't know when she got out of the asylum, and he doesn't quite understand her explanation that she wasn't allowed to get him back as soon as she got out.
Coming To Hogwarts:
Mickey was quite excited to come to Hogwarts, because it meant that he could make even more new friends. He was quite lonely in London, always being seen as a bit of an odd child at school because of his situation, and he saw it as a chance to start again and actually fit in this time. His first few years were great, he gained his friends and was generally happy, both at school and at home.
At the start of the summer between his third and fourth year, his step-father left for reasons he couldn't remember, because they were thoroughly pushed out of his brain by the events that happened as a direct cause of this. His mother seemed alright for a few days, albeit a little down like any woman would be when coping with a break up. Four days after the man left, Mickey came home from fetching some groceries, and accidentally stumbled in on his mother's third attempt to end her life.
Once again, his mind blanked out a lot of the details, except for her being taken off to hospital that day, then sent to the asylum again once they were sure that she wasn't going to die. He was put back in the orphanage that he'd grown up in, and has stayed there since.
What do you want to do after Hogwarts:
Mickey has the greatest desire to act. This is his life ambition, but he's very doubtful that he'll achieve it. He has a feeling that he'll end up looking after his mother for the rest of her life, and however shortened that may be from the various assaults on her internal organs, he'll probably have missed his chance by the time he's free to do what he wants.
