Why would you make a better Prefect than others: Although he tends to be more lenient towards members of his own house, he doesn't hesitate to punish someone who he sees doing something wrong. He tries to be fair, giving out appropriate punishments, and not hesitating to confiscate items which aren't allowed.
Roleplay Sample [as if your character were a Prefect]: Due to the fact that he liked to shower after Quidditch practices and matches, Scorpius was almost always the last person to leave the changing rooms. Due to the practice running late, and the fact that he had taken the time to appear impeccable like he always did, dinner was almost over by the time he reached the castle. So, instead of rushing in and eating as quickly as he could, which was something that he flatly refused to do, he simply decided to head to the kitchen and get something from the house elves. The halls were quiet, and he continued at a leisurely pace heading over to the kitchen, when he hears two voices up ahead, followed by laughing.

Laughing in this area of the castle? In his mind that meant they were up to something, so Scorpius pulled his wand out as he rounded the corner, where a fanged Frisbee whizzed by narrowly missing his head. Scorpius silently cast accio, catching the Frisbee as it came flying towards him. “Fifteen points will be taken away from both of you for having a banned object in the castle. Now, get out of this part of the castle before I give you a detention for lingering!” he said, pointing in the direction he had come, watching as the terrified first years ran in the direction he had pointed.

The sound of sharp heels clicked down the dark hallways of Hogwarts, the echoes bouncing off the cold stone walls. A slender girl swayed her hips as she made her way down the hall her wand firmly gripped in her right hand. Her blonde hair tumbled down in soft curls around her face. She looked perfectly innocent until you took in the shape of her lips where a mischievous smirk had settled in at. Tiffany Hannigan didn't know why she got so much pleasure out of busting young couples, maybe it was because she knew she could. She liked to throw some humility at people sometimes. What was wrong with that after all?

Although she was in her robes on her patrol they were thrown open to reveal her dark blue silk nightgown, black heels on. She had been pretty annoyed when someone had canceled their rounds that night. Flu her arse. She has been innocently seducing a 7th year Slytherin when she got the memo. So she had shrugged her robe back on, kissed the boy goodbye, and trudged her way on the route. That was when she heard the noises coming from an empty classroom. Smiling widely she paused at the door, pushing her ear against it and listening to the loud kissing sounds. She sighed ah young love. She shrugged before throwing open the door startling the couple. Leaning against the door frame she tapped her wand on the thigh thoughtfully. She took in the two disheveled teens and drawled," Late night canoodling? Tisk, tisk. Five points from each of you." The girl made an angry face while the boy simple stared at Tiffany in awe. The blonde girl winked which made the boy's girlfriend growl slightly. Tiffany gave them a significant look," Well? Do you two want me to give you detention?" The couple scrambled to their feet and rushed past her, causing Tiffany to giggle. She looked at the empty classroom before closing the door and sighing. Yes, maybe she did it because she adored the rules or maybe she did it because she liked to see people squirm. Who knows? She'd never tell.

Why would you make a better Prefect/Head Boy/Girl than others: Rose has always been well behaved and always almost follows the rules, though she has little bouts of mischief like everyone else. Rose isn't afraid to be strict and deal out the punishments fairly, but she also tries to kind to avoid mutiny.
Roleplay Sample [as if your character were a Prefect/Head Boy/Girl]: Rose sat in the quiet and peaceful Common Room, a book as always in her lap, minding her own business. It was a Hogsmeade weekend but she had chosen to stay behind and make use of the rare times the Common Room is calm. She was just turning a page in her book when a pair of giggling third years came tumbling through the portrait hole carrying huge bags of Zonko's merchandise. Wary of the boys, Rose's eyes kept flickering to them every now and them. But when Rose had just started to get absorbed in the pages once more - THACK!

"Ouch!" Rose whined, dropping her book in shock as one hand flew to her head where a Fanged Frisbee just hit her. Standing up, she marched over to the boys and held out her hand furiously. She had seen one of them quickly grab the green disk and hide it behind their back just before she stood up. She wasn't blind. Or dumb, so when the boys acted as though they didn't know what she wanted, Rose gritted her teeth, desperate to get mad. "Come on. Give it here and I wouldn't deduct points from you for lying to me," Rose bargained. She saw the boys' eyes widened and nodded gravely. "Yes, I would take points away from my own House, but I really don't want to, so please hand it over.

The two boys exchanged a glance before the shorted one slowly took the Fanged Frisbee from behind his back. Rose took it with a face of disgust before turning her attention back to the boys, giving them a grim smile. "Thank you," Rose said politely but sternly. "Five points from each of you." She could see that the boys were about to argue so she just held up a figure with a smug smile. "Ah. I said i wouldn't take points off for lying. Not for the banned item." Satisfied her work was done, Rose walked back to armchair and rubbed her head with a frown.

"Ouch."

Why would you make a better Prefect/Head Boy/Girl than others: Having been at the school for seven years now Ash feels he knows it inside and out. And he knows the rules like the back of his own hand. Being one of the top students he tries to set an example for the younger ones and sometimes even those of his own age. He is never one to abuse his power or play favorites. When he sees someone breaking a rule, he will not hesitate to discipline them. He will however, make sure that the punishment fits the crime. He's not going to give some little first year detention in the Forbidden Forest just for skipping one class. A few points taken away maybe... He tries to treat everyone fairly and not treat anyone differently from the others

Roleplay Sample [as if your character were a Prefect/Head Boy/Girl]: Ash sat curled up in his favorite chair in front of the roaring fire; the flickering flames giving off a warm glow. All was quiet in the Ravenclaw Common Room. That is, until he heard the unmistakable sounds of someone trying to sneak out of the dorms. From the sounds they were making it was either a younger student, or someone inexperienced with sneaking around. Looking up, Ashton saw that it was indeed a younger student. Second year he believed. Ash stood as the girl entered the common room. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked, arms crossed over his chest, and a stern expression in place.

"Uh... bathroom?" the young girl stammered

Ash barely suppressed a smile. How many times had he tried that same exact excuse? Too many to count

"There are bathrooms in the dorms. You ought to know that by now."

The girl pouted. "But I don't like those bathrooms!"

Ash merely raised an eyebrow. "I don't care. It's either that one, or no bathroom at all. It's nearly midnight. Well past curfew. You know that."

The girl sighed in defeat. "Alright." she trudged back up the stairs, still pouting and leaving Ash to stand there by himself smiling softly and shaking his head. The excuses students could come up with...
