Leigha was very impressed with herself, despite the fact she hadnt barely moved, she kept her eyes on his feet trying to match his steps with her own. Occasionally she stood on his feet and mumbled sorry. It wasnt difficult, but she still couldnt get it down right either. "I think I can--woops!" She missed the step completely, did the wrong one and found herself on her back. "Ouch! Or maybe I cant..." Her voice was frustrated, she couldnt even follow a step... what hope was there for her dancing... Give up while I'm ahead? She thought, though she wasnt ahead at all. "Well that was... embarrassing."
She stood back up and looked at him. What he must think of her she didnt know. Incompetant maybe? Stupid and idiotic? A clutz? All thoughts which brought a violent red tinge to her pale features. He took her again though and told her if she wanted to stop just to let him know. She thought about it, seriously considered it but she shook her head, finding now she was back and dancing again, she actually didnt want to stop. After a few moments, she seemed to get the simple steps and decided to stop watching the feet and instead, feel it... it was difficult, but she succeeded. "I... I think I'm getting this..." She sounded amazed, like it was the most surprising thing in the world. Yet, her eyes still would not look at him.

At first things were difficult, but after she'd fallen on her arse a good few times, she seemed to be getting it, which made Danny very proud and happy. He liked seeing that smile on her face, despite the fact that she was looking at everything in the room but him. He couldn't help letting his thoughts wander, and they settled on the notion that maybe something bad had happened in a previous relationship with a boy. She seemed like a scared little kitten around boys, but maybe she was the same around most of the girls.
"You're doing very well for a first time" He spoke to her, feeling a little smug at the fact that he'd managed to do so well with her. And he genuinely liked it, even if she was stumbling through the room a whole lot more than some of the kids he'd taught. A thought he wouldn't voice, because he didn't want to insult her. She was an incredibly sweet and nice girl and Danny definitely wouldn't mind having her as a friend. Even though he was sure that underneath that exterior, there could be a whole different side to Leigha.

Leigha couldn’t move the smile on her face, she found, once she got into this, dancing slowly like this was quite simple. You let the guy lead you --though it was a scary thought to Leigha-- and you just followed. It wasn’t a difficult concept and she had no desire to lead, she knew things would go from bad to worse if she even attempted it. If he’d have asked her if she was as timid around everyone else as she was around him she’d answer him honestly. Girls, she was fine around. Boys on the other hand… she didn’t do too well with. The breakup was too recent for her and almost everything brought back memories. She disliked it.
”S’not so hard.” She said, that brought back memories. Her first boyfriend had same the same to her on relationships. When she told him she’d never had a boyfriend before he told her she was doing well for the first time. Leigha looked down at the floor and let go of Danny. She could feel it brimming again, a fresh new wave of hurt. Quickly she turned her back not wanting him to see that something was affecting her. She allowed herself a moment to compose herself. It hurt to think about him, it hurt to speak or hear his name, it hurt to see him everyday and it hurt to remember all the good times they’d had. Once she was sure she was in control of her emotions again, she turned to him, an unusual bright smile on her face and held out her hands. ”Where were we?”

Danny wanted to ask her if she was okay, but the fact that she'd turned around on him seemed to indicate that she was not, and that she'd rather keep her feelings hidden from him. Which he supposed was fair game, after all, they'd only met an hour or so before. Instead of badgering her about her emotions, he inspected his ankle, which was only slightly swollen and barely hurt. Still, he should stick to simple dance like this for a few days, but as long as he got a girl like Leigha to do it with, slow dancing was actually a lot of fun.
As she turned back towards him, he smiled back at seeing her unusually bright smile, taking her hands again. "Think we're ready to add another step?" He'd taught her the basics of the English Waltz, but there were a lot of steps that they could do to spice up the waltz, instead of just twirling around the room over and over.
The song had ended so he pushed a few buttons, letting it start over again and performing a small wand movement that would put the song on a loop for as long as they wanted to dance. He loved being a wizard.
