To say that Markus was happy with this was a definite overstatement. If anything, he was livid, but he wasn't quite sure how to respond to the insulting note he'd received from his Professor. Of course there was the option of simply not showing up, of saying fuck it and flipping him off, but he doubted that would make too good an impression on the staff, and his father would undoubtedly be informed right after the scene had unfolded.
Needless to say, that wasn't a good thing to happen, so the brunette had grudgingly packed his bag with the books he needed for todays studying session and had moved his ass towards the library, sitting in a corner where nobody would be able to find him - hopefully not even his study buddy. After all, if the boy didn't show up, it was hardly his fault.
The note Markus had received was nothing short of humiliating, as the Headmaster had apparently found out that he'd been using other people to do his homework.
Mr O'Keefe,
it has come to my attention that you haven't been handing in your own work as of late. If you do not wish us to inform your father, or expel you, I suggest you'll take up the following offer. Report to the library tomorrow evening at 8pm sharp for your first tutoring session.
- Headmaster DeLange
It was eight now, seven fifty six to be exact, so he was early. Hopefully he'd make a good impression on whoever was about to tutor him - he was praying it was at least a seventh year - and this would be a one time only thing.

Ash was not happy about this arrangment. Not at all! As if he didn't have enough to do dealing with all the other students; now Headmaster DeLange wanted him to tutor some kid who was probably just too lazy to do his own damn work, and therefore 'persuaded' others to do it for him. Great. Just. Great
The raven-haired boy scowled as he stalked down the corridors to the library. Many students had seen him in this mood multiple times, and had learned to not agitate the Head Boy, lest he take points away just for breathing!
Stopping at the doors to the library, Ash sighed and took a moment to calm himself down. It would not do to go in angry. After all, the better the impression he made on his... student, the sooner they could get to work. Schooling his features into a well-practiced mask of vague but polite interest, he opened the doors.
Looking around, Ash tried to determine if there was anyone who looked like he might be the student he was supposed to be tutoring. Just as Ash was about to turn to leave, he saw him. A Gryffindor, sulking in a corner, bag and books spread out beside him. And from the looks the boy was giving off, he wasn't happy about this either.
Sighing once more, Ash steeled himself for the two hours of torture that was surely about to begin. He approached the boy, and set down his bag on the floor beside the table. "Markus O'Keefe?" he asked the other boy scowling up at him.

Well..That was just bloody brilliant. Not only did he have to be tutored, it was the flipping HEAD BOY he was being forced to hang out with. The one good thing about this situation was that the Ravenclaw was hot, but Markus doubted that he'd be entertained by his good looks for the next two hours without wanting to kill him.
Unless they found something more interesting than homework to do, but again, this was the Head Boy, and most likely that meant that he was boring as hell. Fuck, he'd really be forced to do homework this time, wouldn't he? His one hope was that the ravenhaired boy would find him a hopeless case, and would suggest his immediate expulsion. Not that it'd be a great thing to hear, but at least it would save him from this torment.
"That would be me." Markus hastily rearranged his features, though he was sure that the other had already seen his scowl. Looking down at his books, he mentally cursed at himself for making it so obvious that he was in need of a tutor. "Do me a favor, yeah? Let's find somewhere a little more private to do this." Maybe the forbidden section, or a part of the library that few ever frequented. Anything was better than this.

Ash started to sit down, when Markus asked if they could go somewhere more private. Looking up at the other boy, Ash thought at about it for a moment. "Sure. Restricted Section?"
Without waiting for an answer, the Ravenclaw stood and gathered up his books, making his way towards the Restricted Section, he glanced back to make sure Markus was following him. Reaching the Restricted Section, he lifted the rope that was placed across it. As he walked in, he noticed a couple of Hufflepuff second years who definitely were not supposed to be there. "Do you two have permission to be back here?" he asked.
The two boys looked guiltily at eachother. "We need to look something up." one mumbled, avoiding the question.
Ash sighed in frustration. He really did not feel like dealing with this right now. Honestly, how hard was it to answer a simple question. "Do you have permission to be back here?" he asked again, forcing his voice to remain calm.
"No." they answered in unison.
Ash smirked. "I didn't think so. Now out."
The two boys protested. "But we need to look something up!"
"I doubt that there is anything in the restricted section that you need. Besides, you need a note from a teacher to be here. You ought to know that by now. Now you can either get out, or I can take points. It's up to you."
Scowling, the boys walked out, and Ash walked in. Now that the section was empty, Ash found a table for him and Markus in the back corner and sat down waiting for Markus.

Markus followed him, glad that being with the Head Boy meant he was allowed to head into the Restricted Section. Not that he hadn't been here before, after all, what was life without breaking a few rules, but it was nice that he wasn't going to be kicked out this time. "Mr Authority, I see"
He mumbled it almost teasingly, sitting across from him and crossing his ankles underneath the table. Of course he'd known his name, his status, but Ashton didn't need to know that he even cared enough to remember this boy could take plenty of points from him.
"This is just marvelous, being tutored by the Head Boy. I'm sure you'll enjoy this just as much as I do.." Sighing, he threw down his books on the table, glancing over at the other with a sour expression on his face.
He wasn't really angry, but he wasn't in a good mood either, and if the other was planning to annoy him, he'd definitely do the same in return. However, if they managed to get along, tease each other a bit, that might work better. It all depended on how stuck up he was.

Ash could tell from the tone of Markus' voice that he was teasing. The Ravenclaw smirked in reply, "That's right I am. And they damn well better remember it!" Letting out a small laugh, Ash sat down next to Markus. He gave the Gryffindor a mock glare as the other boy slammed his books down. "Hey now, those poor books didn't do anything to you."
It seemed as though Markus was not going to get over the fact that he was being tutored by the Head Boy. This annoyed said Head Boy, but Ash knew it was best to try and stay on Markus' good side. Holding back a sigh, the raven-haired boy pulled his books towards him. "Okay, so what do you want to work on first?" he asked Markus.
He hoped that by asking Markus what he wanted to do first, the older boy would realise that Ash was trying to help him, and was not out to make his life miserable. Ash may have been Head Boy, but he wasn't completely heartless!
Of course, there was the possibility that Markus would try and use it as a way to get out of it...

What did he want to work on? Well, that wasn't too difficult a choice. If it was really up to him, after all, he wouldn't work on anything, but he doubted that was what the Head Boy wanted to hear from him. "Well, Transfiguration is the one I have the most trouble with. But I'm honestly not doing too well in all of my classes." He figured that honesty was probably the best way to go here, after all, either the guy would see him as a hopeless case, or he'd give the Professors the news that he was docile and worked well with others. Either was a good enough outcome for the brunette right now.
Lazily picking at the cover of one of his books, Markus let his eyes sweep over the boy in front of him. He was cute, not the type you'd expect to be Head Boy, but apparently the guys character was exactly what the Headmaster had been looking for. Which probably meant that he was good at giving out punishments, never broke the rules for any reason, and figured that getting expelled was worse than death. All in all, not the type Markus chose to hang out with, though his somewhat best friend was a Prefect.

Ash nodded. "Transfiguration? Ok, so we'll save that one for later. See, alot of people think that it's best to do the ones you have the most trouble with first. But the way I see it, if you spend all your time on those, you're never going to get anything done. So it's best to do the easier ones first."
"Are there any classes that you don't have much trouble with and just need to get some work done?" Ash hoped the older boy would say yes. An essay maybe... something they could do in an hour or so. He did not want to be here any longer than was neccesary.
Ash let his eyes wander over Markus' face as he waited for an answer from the older boy. There was no doubt that he was good looking. But he also seemed to be a bit of a troublemaker. Not exactly the kind of person the Head Boy would hang out with. Of course, that's not to say that Ash had never broken a rule himself. On the contrary, before he became Head Boy, he'd broken plenty of rules. He'd just never got caught, or placed the blame on someone else. Something he hoped the Gryffindor never found out about. Unless of course Ash told Markus himself...

Were there any classes he didn't have trouble with? Now there was a difficult question. "I get okay grades for some, but that's not all been my own work, as unfortunately the Headmaster has found out" He snorted a little, running fingers through his hair as he made himself comfortable in the wooden library chair. "It's a little difficult to see what I'm good at that way..." Why had he done it? Simple, it was easier than admitting he had trouble following what teachers said in class. It wasn't his style to raise his hand and ask for clarification, and he didn't want tutoring. This had been the easiest solution up until his NEWT exams, which he would have failed horribly.
"Potions is alright I suppose. I mean, I get by in that class, when I'm doing my Potions. Unless I'm partnered with some nitwit who throws in the wrong stuff at the wrong time, that is." He'd had a few of those encounters, almost wanting to beat the crap out of the people who had managed to screw over his grade even more, when he was FINALLY doing something he knew he could do. "Plus the prof's alright." In other words, he was somewhat of a pushover, letting the students get away with quite a lot. Including homework that was obviously not up to par. He did in fact have an essay for the class now, on the uses of dragon blood.

Ash smirked as Markus finally admitted that the reason he was failing, was due to the fact that he didn't do his own work. Of course, Ash had suspected it along. Still, it was immensely gratifying to actually hear the older boy admit to it. And strangely enough, Ash couldn't condemn him for his actions. Because there had been a time when Ash would have done the same thing. That was of course before he realised how important education was. Especially if he wanted to prove daddy dearest wrong and make something out of himself. Hopefully Markus would learn that as well someday.
"Potions? Ok, so do you have anything you can do with that one? An essay maybe?" Ash was honestly relieved to hear that they would be working on Potions first as it was one of his best classes. He laughed at Markus' comment about the teacher. "Yeah, he's ok. Of course honestly, I think he's a little bit of a pushover. I mean hell, the guy lets you get away with pretty much anything!"
Ash sat in silence for a moment before he finally spoke again. "You know, I used to be just like you. Didn't do my work, was failing all my classes, but then I realised that if I want to actually make something out of myself, then it was best to settle down and get to work."
Ash sighed, "And to be totally honest with you... I don't like being Head Boy because I'm a stickler for rules... I like it because of the power it gives me." his voice lowered to nearly a whisper. "See, I really could care less what people do or think about me, but being Head Boy makes me feel like I actually have control over something. And I know it's really messed up, but part of me is terrified of losing that control."
Ash wasn't sure why he was telling all this to a boy he had just met. A boy he sincerely hoped didn't go to Headmaster DeLange with this juicy bit of information... It was true, Ash had so little control over his life, especially at home, that being Head Boy made him feel like he at least had control over something. And he didn't want to lose that. Which was why he acted like the perfect student. Somtimes.

Part of Markus was wondering why the fuck Ashton was telling him all these things. The boy was supposed to tutor him, not play nice or make friends with him, or perhaps the Headmaster had given him different instructions than what he'd sent to Markus. Maybe the Professor actually wanted them to become friends, good influences and all that shit. Heh, if he had his way - and he usually did - it would probably work the other way around, he'd be a bad influence on someone that hadn't really wanted to be perfect in the first place. It'd be fun, he decided, if he could corrupt him. Something of a challenge. Plus, he figured that Ashton would be a hell of a lot more fun if he didn't have this huge stick wedged up his ass.
So he'd play nice, for now.
"Reason I'm doing so well in Potions is partly cause the Prof's such a push over" He grinned at this, running fingers through his hair again and stretching, letting the boy have a good look at his body. "And yeah, I've got an essay due. Uses of dragon blood, something boring like that."
Markus shrugged a shoulder, leaning a tiny bit closer towards the Ravenclaw. "I'll let you in on a secret...it's all about power and control. It's what drives people. The want to control others, to have the upper hand over someone. Even in relationships...sex...it's what it's all about. Screw love, people just want to feel that thrill of being able to control someone else." He wondered if Ashton knew what he was talking about...the boy definitely looked like a bottom in bed.

Ash laughed quietly. "Yeah, he's definitely a pushover. Dragon Blood? Ok, do you have any of it written yet?" Ash hoped Markus had at least a paragraph or two done. That way, all Ash had to do was point out the mistakes, give him some pointers, and Markus could finish writing it. If not, that was fine too.
Markus' next words made Ash think for a moment. "You know, I'd have to say you're right. It probably is all about power and control."then Ash blushed a little at the sex comment. Did Markus know Ash was a bottom? His last boyfriend certainly did. In spite of all his authority in school, when it came to the bedroom, Christian had been in control. Oh well, no need for Markus to know that.
Yawning slightly, Ash leaned back and stretched his arms above his head. His shirt and hoodie rose up revealing his navel piercing and hip piercings. Pulling his shirt and hoodie back down, Ash leaned toward Markus. "Ok, so let's see that essay. The quicker we get to work, the quicker we can leave."
Ash drummed his fingers on the table and let his gaze wander around the library has he waited for Markus to dig out the essay.

Markus ignored the comment about his essay, for now, instead choosing to check the brunette out not-quite-as casually as before. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you look like the kind of guy who would give up that power as soon as you'd get in the bedroom." Which suited him just fine, he was always on top.
When it came down to it, he could be a very attentive lover, trying out everything that he'd learned before just to get them to scream. He liked finding out what people were into, what made them tick, and most of his bed companions had been quite happy with the experience. He wondered if it would be the same once he got the Head Boy in bed. Once, not if, because he was damn sure it would eventually happen.
"It's the blush thing" He added, grinning at the Ravenclaw. He felt older than the boy, and he probably was, having had to repeat his OWL year. "Don't worry though, it's cute" Having said that, he ever so softly brushed his fingers over Ashtons cheek, letting them dip down to his neck and collarbone for a second before putting his hands in his lap with an innocent expression.

Ash immediately blushed even harder at Markus' words. Was that even possible? His cheeks probably remembled cherries by now. He didn't answer out right, but his reaction most likely said it all. Blushing, eyes looking anywhere but at the other boy, the nervous biting if his bottom lip. Yep, that pretty much confirmed it.
In fact, Ash wondered what Markus would be like in bed. He had a good of idea of where the other boy would be. On top of course. Trying to hide his sudden shyness with a smirk, Ash replied "And I suppose you would be the one in control?" The Gryffindor certainly looked like it. "So, how old are you anyway?"
Markus' next movements shocked him. Ash just sat there as Markus fingers brushed over his cheeks down to his neck and collarbone. There was no way that Markus knew those were Ash's weak spots. Right? Ash stared at the taller and most likely older boy. The blush made it's way onto his face once more, his lips were slightly parted in surprise, and his chest rose and fell as he attempted to get conrol over his breathing before he started to hyperventilate. How was it possible that someone he'd just met could turn him on so quickly?
Shaking his head, Ash forced himself to think of the task at hand. Helping Markus pass his classes. "Um.. w-we really need to get to work." he said. Oh great, now he was stuttering. Just wonderful. 'Snap out of it Laurent!' he silently scolded himself.

"So, how old are you anyway?"
Markus smirked at that, leaning back in his chair as he looked at the boy. He certainly wouldn't mind getting another sneak peek of those piercings, as especially the ones on his hips intrigued him. "Old enough to know what I like...and what others like." He replied, arching one eyebrow at him. This was definitely going better than he'd planned already. Ash was blushing and stuttering, it was really quite cute, though he was sure it'd bore him eventually. Sadly enough, that's what happened with people. They just ended up boring him to insanity.
As Ashton tried to recover from this sudden flirty attack, he mumbled something about getting to work, making Markus lean in again, his fingers running through the boys brown hair. "You waste no time, do you? Okay, where do you want me?" For a moment, he acted as if he was going to move to drape himself over the table, right then and there, but he wasn't quite so stupid. As much as he loved to tease, he knew better than to get caught snogging someone in the restricted area. Especially since everyone would know it'd be him trying to get out of studying.
"Oh, you were talking about studying? My bad...Or your loss."
