Alright so screw the hot guy in her previous dream. Nathan was right here with her and he was the only one she’d want to bandage any day when needed. Her smile kept lingering on her lips after his soft kiss. Just as a faint blush remained burning on her cheeks. She had known there had been a total different side of Nathan and it made her heart race that he was willing to show her that side of his. When he leaned in for a second kiss Reese instantly titled her head back a little and met him in the kiss. Her hand moved up to the back of his neck for support as she leaned into him for a brief moment to continue their short kiss when he pulled back.
Letting go of him her hand gently ran down his shoulder and over his arm. Reese knew that this night could just as much mean something as it could mean nothing. She hoped for the former which she wasn’t shy on showing him, a little. Reese wasn’t shy nor were there many times when she didn’t have much to say, but right now, with him being so close she couldn’t help but stay silent for a little moment after this second kiss. Soon though she suddenly smirked when he stood up from the bed. “If you stay a bad boy maybe you will too…if you’re lucky.” She loved it how he could be just as much an ass as he apparently could be a sweet guy. There was no way she wanted any of those sides to change.
Now that she was alone in bed, without Nathan’s warm body, Reese felt a shiver ran down her spine. She pulled the covers up and wrapped them around her bare legs. Right, she should have brought something warmer. It would be a bitch to go back to her dorm wearing her short shorts with just a top. Well, that sure as hell would mean a run down the cold corridors. But then again, as her eyes wandered over Nathan’s back, it was so worth it.
“Only ten?” As if on cue Reese brought a hand up to her mouth when a yawn got passed her lips. “You always get up this early? Nate it’s the weekend. It’s like mandatory to sleep in and be lazy for a while in the morning.” Wasn’t he a busy little bee.
She probably should get out of his bed as it was obvious that he wasn’t coming back to it anymore. But Reese felt comfortable here, it felt right to be with him and she wanted to hold on to that feeling for just a few minutes longer. There were no guarantees that this would happen again, even if he said that it might. She knew not to hope too much but too just enjoy it all. Which is exactly what she did. As he sat down again besides her Reese lightly shrugged. Was she going to tell him the real truth? No. Was she going to pour her heart out to him? No.
Was she going to lie to him? No.
I wanted to be with you. It’s the truth. Which it was. It just wasn’t the entire truth. “Can’t you just believe that?” Reese raised her hand again and let her fingers run over his cheek for a brief moment. She smiled at him before she leaned in again and pressed a light kiss on his cheek. “But if there is something more behind it, I promise I will tell you one day mr. Spencer.“ There was no reason to tell Nathan everything now. Reese knew how the mind of boys worked and she wanted to keep this thing they had going fun and relaxed.
And with that Reese finally pushed away the covers and got out of the bed. It was probably time to get back to her own down now anyway. “Whatever this is Nathan, that is going on with us. I like it.” For a moment her eyes locked with his once more and she smiled, wrapping her arms around herself to keep her upper body somewhat warm. “I better get back to my dorm.” With one last small smile Reese turned and made her way to the door that led out of the boys dorms.
