Wow. That was a pretty awesome speech with all the alcohol flowing through her system. Reese could hold her liquor but even this was surprisingly well said for someone who had been downing a lot of alcohol in the last hour. Apparently she had one of her clear moment even as she could feel the alcohol do its work on her body. “Honey it’s not a bad thing to be scared. It’s just how you deal with it I guess. I know you can do this although I’d happily threaten to kick your ass if you refuse.” Reese smirked, trying to get him to smile at her. Even if it was just a tiny one. “You know what, I might even do that for fun! It’s been a while since I got to do that.” Kicking ass was fun. Unless you failed and got your own ass kicked. That pretty much sucked.
She shrugged, smiling at him as he turned all sweet again and kissed her forehead. “That’s what I do honey. Save the world one huffle at a time.” Reese settled back in his arms, deciding that now she was this comfortable she wasn’t going to give it up. “Just help me get drunk and we’re all good.” He couldn’t solve her problems but at least he could make her feel better.
For a little while Reese just sat silently snuggled up against Graham while eating her strawberries. She wasn’t much lost in thought as her eyes were fixed on the opposite wall of the room. More so she was starting to feel the effects of the alcohol kicking in. Normally it would get her all hyped up but now she was just…relaxed. “If I’m still single at 36 and so are you or Haven, I’m totally marrying one of you. Or both of you.” she suddenly said, without even looking over at Graham. The idea had popped up in her mind and it seemed fairly reasonable.

Gray had been sinking into this comfortable silence just as much as she had, though when Reese mentioned marrying him or Haven, or both, at the age of thirty-six, he couldn't help laughing a little, head thrown back in genuine amusement. "Oh the horror! Two girls, however will I manage? I'll have to make sure you get settled before that then, or I'll be serving strawberries with chocolate for the rest of my life!" As much as he loved taking care of his girls, and Haven was definitely one he loved as well, he couldn't really see himself with either of the two. They'd work as friends but the great thing was having privacy from one another, having secrets that didn't need to be shared as they worked on a need to know basis. Marriage would ruin all of that, and he didn't think he'd be ready even at that age.
"Let's make it a foursome then and bring in a hot, not so straight guy? That'd keep me happy at night when you girls are having another sex-and-the-city marathon." Gray teased her, tugging at her hair again as he stole a strawberry from her. The whole scenario sounded a lot better when there was at least one man involved. The question was just...who?

Graham’s laughter was like sweet music to her ears (and heart) and Reese felt a little bit better by hearing him laugh. It meant that her words had some effect on him which pleased her. She knew she couldn’t keep him from making things difficult for himself but if she could lessen the amount it was at least a start. “Yes and? I don’t see a problem with that. Since you’re the only one who can literally imagine these strawberries I’m sort of stuck with you, you know.” Reese chuckled, nudging his side playfully.
She frowned tough and a shiver ran down her spine when Graham started talking about a foursome. “Ew! I so not meant that getting married would mean we have to get down and dirty for that. We’d all have boyfriends on the side of course. And girlfriends, but I suppose those would only be for me.” Since Haven didn’t do the whole girl thing.
“And you know what the most creepy thing about everything is? You and me can actually get married.” Which was really creepy considering they both saw each other as family. Bringing a strawberry up to her mouth she let it hover before her lips and said, “Lets not talk about this anymore. I’m so drunk.” Then as to keep herself busy she continued working her way through the strawberry bowl.

"Ew. No offense sweetie, but marrying you would be too close to incest for my liking. Even if it was just a marriage of convenience. Though, I'll be happy to be your maid of honor if you ever do marry Haven" He chuckled, not minding the promise since he was fairly sure the two would never be wed for real. And if they were, well there were worse things than dressing up as a girl for his best friend. He'd do it just to make her smile, as long as there weren't any pictures taken. Hell, he was fairly sure he'd done it before while drunk.
Gray nuzzled at her neck, playfully nipping there for a moment. It was the closest he'd ever come to touching a woman, but he was completely comfortable with his Reese. She was family, and though some people assumed that they were a secret couple - after all they were very close and almost always cuddling or touching - both knew that this was something created out of safety rather than the need to be close to someone. It was just something cute, like two animals cuddled up together, two cats licking each other, that sorta thing.
