Name: Frances Character Name: Mickey McKey House: Hufflepuff Position you're applying for: Seeker Roleplay Sample: Ever since he'd started the school, Mickey had been drawn to Quidditch like it was some magnetic force. He wasn't an incredibly sporty person, but the game had intrigued and enchanted him at first sight, and he knew he'd had to give it a go. Once he'd played one simple match of the game, he'd fallen in love with it. Granted, he wasn't very good to start off with, but over time he'd improved, and found his position. Apparently, Mickey had keen eyes, or at least keen enough to spot a small, golden ball flittering about in the air within the boundaries of the large pitch.
Being a seeker did mean that you spent a lot of time simply flying about, being pretty useless except for acting as good human shields, until you caught sight of the snitch. This was exactly what Mickey was doing, flying about somewhere above the rest of the team and trying not to get in the way. The other house was winning so far, but there was still a chance - The Hufflepuff team had pulled through at the last minute many times before, and they'd been losing by a lot more then. The blonde was just hoping the golden ball appeared sometime soon - He'd had a bad night's sleep last night, and was starting to get a bit drowsy.
As if on queue, a flick of gold caught his eye from far below him. Pushing his broom into a steep dive, he just about managed to swerve and avoid colliding with a couple of players on his way down. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the opposing seeker catch on and follow suit, and willed his broom to move faster, stretching out his hand for the ball and hoping for the best.

Name: Autumn Character Name: Winter Moon House: Ravenclaw Position you're applying for: Beater Roleplay Sample: Winter sat on her broom, tossing her bat from had to hand watching the other players get ready on the field below. She always showed up for practice early just so she could fly around the pitch a few times on her own. She liked to get a feel of the weather, reconnect with her broom, get herself in the zone. When an actual game was in the works she came out almost every night as the sun was setting to match herself to the energies of the pitch.
Winter noticed her captain calling her down, he was ready to tell the team what they needed to practice on today. Depending on who they were playing against next he always had different advice to give. Today, Winter blocked out his speech until she heard him address her and her fellow beater. She knew most of what he said, they needed to hit harder, be more accurate, not just swing the bats around like they were trying to decapitate someone. But it wasn't exactly like the bludgers took orders from them.
Winter sighed as the captain wound down his speech, she was eager to get up in the air and start moving. As soon as he gave the signal, she pushed off the ground and flew back into the air, a large smile on her face. "Let's do this! Ready to kick some butt!"

Name: Saz Character Name: Rose Weasley House: Gryffindor Position you're applying for: Chaser Roleplay Sample: Rose walked quite confidently on the Quidditch pitch. The ground was quite hard which meant a good kick off, but then again of someone fell it could seriously hurt. But then again, Rose didn't plan on falling. She was in hr competitive mode and her jaw was set squarely as her eyes raked over the opposing team. Her gaze rested on the three Chasers for a fraction of a second before they flickered to her team mates, a sly smile creeping over her face as she remembered how well last practice went. There was no way they could lose. Rose was sure of it.
She mounted her broom and exchanged a cheery nod with her fellow Chasers before flashing a grin to her cousin, Lily. Then the referee started talking and Rose's gaze snapped to the Quaffle which they held in their hands. The young Weasley was hardly listen to the words as she tightened her grip on her broomstick and gnawed her lip impatiently, waiting for the game to begin. At last the referee fell silent and put the little whistle to their lips. All this time Rose's eyes never left the Quaffle, actually she was pretty sure she hadn't even blinked.
The shrill cry of the whistle sounded around the stadium and several things happens at once. An almighty cry issued from the stands around the players, the referee threw up the Quaffle and the other balls were released. But rose didn't care about that, it was someone else's job to see to the other balls. Her goal in this game was to capture the rd ball which was still soaring upward from the referee's mighty throw. Rose kicked off the ground quickly and allowed herself a wide and childish grin as she practically took the Quaffle out of the other team's Chaser's finger tips. Then she was soaring away, her fellow Chasers flanking her as they raced toward the goals.

Name: Lea Character Name: Freddie Barton House:Gryffindor Position you're applying for: Chaser Roleplay Sample:
The best thing about the wizarding world was by far, Quidditch. Freddie didn’t think there was any better sport and he’d been entranced the moment he’d seen the large hoops and brooms. Of course Freddie had tried out to join the team as soon as he could, though he’d barely managed to scrape through and earn a spot. Freddie hadn’t been all that great on a broom to begin with but after practice sessions four nights a week over a period of a month he was flying like a pro.
Freddie zipped up and down the field, twisting and swerving in the air, pulling a number of stunts that had the growing crowd in the stands ‘ooh-ing’ and ‘aah-ing’. Gryffindor were up against Hufflepuff today and whilst the match had yet to start, the teams were allowed to warm up and practice, Gryffindor on one end of the pitch and Hufflepuff on the other.
“Barton, quit showing off and get down here!”
Freddie dipped out of a mid-air flip and half frowned at his captain who was stood on the field below with the rest of the team. ‘Huh.. Guess I didn’t hear them call me..’ angling his broom towards the ground, Freddie dropped down to join his fellow team-mates.

Name: Dylan Character Name: Tom Donato House: Gryffindor Position you're applying for: Chase Roleplay Sample: Tom was flying towards the Gryffindor goals. He needed to get the quaffle from the Slytherin chase before he got to the keeper. As he was racing towards the goal, he noticed in his peripheral vision a bludger coming towards his head. He quickly ducked the speeding ball, going into a defensive maneuver which got him directly under the Slytherin chaser. He leaned the broom up and started in a diagonal line towards the chaser. He was too late to get the quaffle before the chase was in throwing range, but the keeper caught it.
Tom flipped a one eighty and got into a range where the keeper could pass him the ball quickly and he flew up and caught it. He flew as fast as he could towards the Slytherins goals. He passed to his team mate and dodged a well aimed bludger. When they got close to the hoops, the keepers attention was mainly on his teammate, who had the quaffle, which gave him the perfect oppertunity to position himself by the third hoop. When everyone thought she was going to try for the shot, she passed to Tom, who caught and threw the ball though the hoops, tying up the game, before the announcer called out "And Lily's caught the snitch, Gryffindor Wins."

Name: Mack Character Name: Jason Owens House: Ravens Position you're applying for: Chaser Roleplay Sample:
It had done Jase good to be away from magic for a while. But you couldn’t say he hadn’t missed playing quidditch. The game was in his blood and ever since he had set foot on Hogwarts years ago he’d been playing the game. The memories about all that time he’d spend out there on the pitch came rushing back to him as he sat on his broom, looking out over the pitch while hovering feet above the grassy ground. Back then he’d been the captain of the Ravenclaws for three years in a row, from his fourth till he sixth year, playing the spot of chaser. This year though he’d only be a chaser for the team, no captain status. Which he understood and it probably was for the better considering you couldn’t expect to be made captain after two years of absence. Besides, this years captain seemed to be a good one. But somewhere deep inside Jason wouldn’t have mind to get his old job back, something he of course would never mention.
Feeling the wind rush past cheeks and trough his hair a smile kept lingering on his face. Some good memories definitely came from this specific part of the Hogwarts ground. With a quaffle in his hands Jason flew over to the center of the pitch and grabbed his wand from the back of his jeans –since it was not official practice time he hadn’t bothered to suit up-. Hexing the quaffle like he used to do back in the day he stuffed his wand back between the edges of his jeans and suddenly raced off towards the center ring. Throwing the quaffle it soared through the ring but instead of falling towards the ground below it shot up in the air, forcing Jason to fly after it and catch it before it landed somewhere random on the pitch.
With ease Jason flew after it, caught it and resumed this exercise for the following half an hour. He was a bit rusty but that wasn’t something some training couldn’t fix.

Name: Kris Character Name: Ashton Laurent House: Ravenclaw Position you're applying for: Seeker Roleplay Sample: Ash soared high into the air. The sun was shining, there were little puffy white clouds, a slight wind. It was the perfect day for Quidditch. And Ash was in his element. As he circled the pitch, his sharp eyes looked for the tell-tale glint of gold that was the Snitch. Of course he had to be careful and make sure that what he spotted was actually the snitch and not someone's watch.
The Ravenclaw sighed. The game had been going on for well over thirty minutes now and yet no sign of the snitch had been spotted. Wait! What was that? A glint of gold by the Ravenclaw stands... Ash glided forward. Yes! There it was. The Golden Snitch.
Putting forth a burst of speed, Ash flew towards the snitch. Hoping, nay praying that the other Seeker had not seen it as well. Alas, they had. And were too heading towards the small, yet significant golden ball. Oh no you don't Ash thought to himself. That snitch is mine!
The other seeker was now almost even with Ash. That was not good. Ash threw the other player a dirty look and sped up. He was just inches away! Leaning forward on his broom, he stretched his hand out... C'mon c'mon! he chanted the mantra in his head. Just a bit more.... Yes! Ash grabbed the snitch out of the air and Ravenclaw won the match.
